Imahnee x Synovia x Lorren x Hemlock at the Garrison

As they head back to the Garrison, Synovia only half listens to Lorren's endless chatter about life as a town guard, instead her mind wanders back to the comments Imahnee made about his life in Orision. His life seems to mirror Miro's in many ways, and so unlike her own. Her childhood held much tragedy, but it was also happy. She was and is so unprepared for the events that are taking place. She can't help but wonder if it would have been better not to have had such a supportive past. As they approach the Garrison, she whispers to Imahnee "I must apologize in advance for anything Hemlock says or does. He is my adoptive father and is a little overprotective, especially with everything going on lately."

Imahnee nods. "In Osirion, women bear the honor of the family. They give life, love, and are more beautiful than the stars in the sky," he whispers. "Your father is like a mighty sky dragon - he only wants to protect his star from other greedy dragons." Imahnee smiled. "I will challenge him in the way of my people and show him my resolve!"  Not waiting for a reply, Imahnee boldly goes to the door and swing open the door. "Hemlock! I will take the star that is your daughter and make her mine. I will place her in my sky, I will forge children at her anvil, and I wi-" The large man is knocked back unconscious as a hammer hits him squarely in the forehead. A stoic Hemlock steps out and crosses his arms. "Forge that, you foreign summabitch."
Synovia shocked by Imahnee's words, tries to stop him before he opens the door realizing that she is too late, she drops to her knees by Imahnee. She turns her wrath on her father. "What in the name of Desna do you think you are doing! You over grown, testosterone filled child. You have no right to attack a man for voicing his intent to ... whatever he was intending. Do you not think I have earned a little happiness. Would you have me alone and a child for the rest of my life. It is bad enough that you don't trust me enough that you send an escort with us, but now you attempt to kill him for having the nerve to like me and possibly more." She turns her attention back to the man lying unconscious on the floor. She looks at the guards standing shocked nearby. Pointing to the closest to the door she says "Don't just stand there looking stupid, go fetch the healer, and you" she points to the one standing closest to Hemlock " do you job and arrest him" pointing to Hemlock " for assult."
Hemlock listens calmly to the tirade. No soldier makes a move to arrest him, or breathe, it almost seems like as they appear caught between two elements of force - fire and stone. "I didn't try to kill him. I'd have used a dagger if I wanted to do that," the older man says frankly. Lorran waved something on white cotton under Imahnee's nose, trying to wake him. She frown and looks back at Hemlock, though she speak to Synovia. "Like...my dad is a big meat head, too. That's why I left Magnimar to like, find my own way you know?" She leans in to Synovia. "So like, I don't like being used and like I totally want to steal your boyfriend and I will, like, later but for right now...whatever, truce. Like...so not cool, Hemlock, amirite!"
The air is charged with a subtle electricity that seems to grow as Syn looks from the now partially conscious Imahnee to Hemlock. As she continues to stare at the man who has been the closest thing to a father she has ever know, she says to Lorren and Imahnee in a voice coated with steel "Can you meet me at the Dragon? Balor and I need to have a little chat. " She pushes past the guards in her way and says to Hemlock "We can continue this in the privacy of you office or we can disgrace ourselves further by making this public." Those that have known her can tell that her anger is barely contained as she proceeds into the office.
Lorren barks orders to other guards, instructing them to assist her in getting the Osirion man off the ground and to the Rusty Dragon.  Belor watched for a moment then stepped to the side of the door to let Synovia through.
Still furious but in more control, Syn begins "I will keep this short as there are plans to make for tonight. I am trying to be understanding here about the whole over protective dad thing, however, there are somethings I want you to understand. First, I want a family of my own. That is not possible with anyone from here. I want a man who challenges me, not one who is afraid of me or you. Second, ever since the Festival I have been drowning. Everywhere I turn I am slaughtering something or something is trying to kill me and my loved ones. Two days ago they succeeded, and I am nowhere near figuring out how to stop it. There is no one in Sandpoint that I can talk to about it, and at times I feel about ready to come apart, like Kendra. There have been two times in the last few weeks that I have felt a little more grounded, Both of those times involve Imahnee. Once in Magnimar and now here. He listens to and challenges me, and he doesn't try to fix it. He makes me feel I am not alone. So, I am asking you to not ruin that for me. Give him and I a chance. When this thing tonight is over, I will explain everything that took place in Magnimar and you and him can get to know each other; WITHOUT  trying to kill each other. Does that sound fair and reasonable?"
Hemlock's jaw works back and forth, his expression not hard or unkind. His brown eyes seem to search hers for a time before he uncrosses his arms and sighs. "You've come so far and worked so hard to build a good life. I..." He sighs, the muscles in his arms still taut. "Nothing is sure...I can't imagine you...leaving and...something happening where I can't help and..."  The room is silent with only them in it and Belor looks...smaller in the void of his comfort. "The idea that I can't be there for you is...unsettling."
"You are there for me in every fight and with every blow I take, and you always will be. I know you have my back when I need it, like tonight. I count on it. No one will ever take your place. Imahnee has my back also, in some of the same ways and in different ones. He reminds me of you in ways, Strong, proud, and honorable. Give him a chance and you might like him."  Syn stands on tip toes and kisses him on his cheek. "We are all meeting at the Dragon after lunch to make final plans for tonight, if you want to join us."
The large man takes her in his arms and hugs her tightly, near squeezing the air out of her. He inhales deeply and lets her go after a few moments. "Let me be in your heart forever as you are in mine. If there is room for another man in your life, I will..." he sighs and it seems like he can't get himself to say the words. "I will share it. HOWEVER! If he hurts you, I'll beat him for every grain of sand he's ever walked on and leave enough for you to have the final blow."

"Deal!  Oh wait, you might have to save enough for Me and Ameiko. So see you later?"
He nods. "Be good, darlin'..." He shakes his head as he goes to his head, rubbing one of his temples a little.
"I'll do my best!" she says with a grin. As she walks out and heads toward the church, she sees Vrinn. "Hey Vrinn. You might want to check on Gildy, she was kinda upset when I left her."
(There's no way in hell that Vrinn's hanging around more drama today than he's already had to... he would have snuck inside hopefully unnoticed while the conversation was going on)
Ok never saw him
