If players were able to flip cards in their hand, and the card stayed flipped when it was played, that would support games that need face-down card play.
Perhaps the easiest way to implement this would be to place cards face down when they're played on the tabletop, by default. Then it's a simple one-click command to turn them face up again.
Holding Shift while you drag a card onto the tabletop (either from a hand or from the deck) will cause it to be placed face-down instead of up. This is covered in the help docs as well:
