As the title suggests I’m gauging interest for a regular Wednesday evening (7pm) GMT 5e game. I’ve started creating the world already and am looking for some keen players to delve in and shape the story. Some info on me: 30-something year old, UK based, relatively new to D&D – currently DM none-regular LMoP with friends and PC another Homebrew on Roll20. Game base features: PHB rules - UA and SCAG are a possibility (still waiting for my book to arrive!) Voice is a must – video optional 50/50 combat/story XP will be per session/milestone (hopefully to slow down the murderhobo in us all/mmo mentality) Possibility of addition sessions if there is interest/if side story opportunities come up If you’re interested and can play to the above info please post in the listing: Listing has been created: https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/35150/towers-of...
Bit of info on previous D&D/tabletop experience (new players are welcome) Played tabletop rp-games since I was around 8 years (and I'm 28 now). It started a bit childish and matured in to a more common rp-games at around 13. I have played 5e the last half year kinda regulary, so I'm fairly used to the system. Your play style/primary interest: Acting, Exploring, Instigating, Fighting, Optimizing, Problem Solving, Storytelling (either rate from high to low or just pick a couple that apply) Acting, Investigating, Problem Solving and Storytelling. Race/class you want to play (don’t need a lot of info on this yet as ideally I’d want to work the backgrounds into the main story) I was thinking of playing a Sorcerer, probably as an elf or a human, but I'm fairly flexible.
Bit of info on previous D&D/tabletop experience (new players are welcome) I've played a bit of Pathfinder with friends IRL as well as watched some of Itmejp's "RollPlay" series, but nothing other than that. Your play style/primary interest: Acting, Exploring, Instigating, Fighting, Optimizing, Problem Solving, Storytelling (either rate from high to low or just pick a couple that apply) I'm unsure. Probably quite balanced. The few sessions I did with friends were rather combat focused but I always felt it left something to be desired. Race/class you want to play (don’t need a lot of info on this yet as ideally I’d want to work the backgrounds into the main story) No idea. I'm up for anything as I haven't played a whole lot. I generally tend to play mages in games but they seem rather tricky so I'll probably play something else. I generally choose any race but human.
Bit of info on previous D&D/tabletop experience (new players are welcome) I have played a lot of warhammer 40k and some shadowrun and DnD 4th edition, but i have never tried the 5th edition Your play style/primary interest: Acting, Exploring, Instigating, Fighting, Optimizing, Problem Solving, Storytelling (either rate from high to low or just pick a couple that apply) I think a good mix of them all but if i were to pick i would say 30% combat, 30% RP, 30% exploring and 10% chill. Ive expirenced that to be a good mix (for my games atleast) Race/class you want to play (don’t need a lot of info on this yet as ideally I’d want to work the backgrounds into the main story) Ive been thinking a lot of playing a fighter, dont quite know what race yet. I am pretty open to ohter ideas though as ive never played 5th ed before so im curius to try out anything.
Bit of info on previous D&D/tabletop experience I started with AD&D in my teens, dipped into various systems over the years (mainly play-by-post), and I've been playing 5e fairly regularly since mid-August. I've even DM'd two sessions as of yesterday. Your play style/primary interest: Acting, Exploring, Instigating, Fighting, Optimizing, Problem Solving, Storytelling I like combat as much as the next guy, but creative problem-solving would probably have to be at the top of my list. Some optimising is inevitable, but I try never to let that get in the way of the character. I don't mind exploring, so long as it's not just for the sake of exploring. But generally, as long as there's a story thread to follow, I'm happy. Race/class you want to play I rolled up a half-elf warlock for a game that never happened, but I also want to try my hand at a wildshape-y druid (prolly a high elf).
Hi names Linn Based in the UK Aged 21 I would be intrested in play your Homebrew :D. Bit of info on previous D&D/tabletop experience I have alot of experince with Star Wars FFG and have DM 2 Games for about a year now. Haven't played 5e at all so looking for a game to play in. Have played Pathfinder for a couple of One Shot but that where my experince ends. Your play style/primary interest: Acting, Exploring, Instigating, Fighting, Optimizing, Problem Solving, Storytelling I like them all really don't really have a preference. Race/class you want to play I don't have a clue since i don't have a clue what 5e has. I like Gnomes so something Gnome related most likely but won't know untill i can get my hands on a 5e book.

Bit of info on previous D&D/tabletop experience (new players are welcome) I Have played some pathfinder one shots like a year or so ago but only recently been in a consistent 5e campaign and loving it. Having never played in a homebrew sounds like a really cool chance to try it out Your play style/primary interest: Acting, Exploring, Instigating, Fighting, Optimizing, Problem Solving, Storytelling (either rate from high to low or just pick a couple that apply) Storytelling/Acting, Problem Solving, Exploring/Fighting, Optimizing. I do love playing characters who let me come up with insane ideas, whether thats planning 3 steps ahead or acting in the moment depends on the character, and I dont know why but all my characters are sort of goofy in their own ways (stuttering noble boy/Sarcastic Dragonborn Barbarian) and I seem to find a way to always be the first person to die in a group. (whether its cus I roll a 1 on a deathsave or just get Super Crit) Race/class you want to play (don’t need a lot of info on this yet as ideally I’d want to work the backgrounds into the main story) Pretty much anything right now have acouple character ideas brewing but nothings 100% concrete yet, though probably need to check the SCAG stuff to see if theres anything interesting in there
Yo, I'm Dan. Based out of the east coast US, I work from home and have a completely open schedule. I've been DMing locally, but I'm itching to roll a character myself. Voice and Video are no problem on my end. Bit of info on previous D&D/tabletop experience Oh, I've played all the D&D's over the past 20 years or so, since I've been about 10. So I'm pretty well versed overall. I'd describe my play style as cooperative, laid back, and non-antagonistic. Your play style/primary interest: Acting, Exploring, Instigating, Fighting, Optimizing, Problem Solving, Storytelling Acting, Problem Solving, and Storytelling, with a healthy dose of Fighting and Exploring. Race/class you want to play I'm open to whatever. I'd say my first preference would be something like a Goliath or Half-Orc Tempest Cleric, or alternatively, a thuggish urban Ranger or Rogue investigator/private eye. Either Half-Orc, Human, or Half-Elf for that one.
I am Brandon I am 29 based in Houston, TX. I currently work at home, and have an open schedule. That being said ill be starting school soon, and have yet to figure out what that schedule will be. Bit of info on previous D&D/tabletop experience I am a bit of a new player, I DM for 2 groups on roll 20, and play in another group. I can help you with roll 20 if you need any. I own the PHB, DMG, MM. I recently got into D&D a few months ago have been playing ever since. Your play style/primary interest: Acting, Exploring, Instigating, Fighting, Optimizing, Problem Solving, Storytelling I hate to meta game I believe it ruins the game. A little is warranted to agree as to what we want to do but beyond that I can;t stand it. As for my character's play it would be entirely based upon his back story as to how he would react to the world. Race/class you want to play I am open to any race or class, however I would probably base my class off of the stats that I roll.
