Though I do not expect much to come from this prodding, given that it is a specific game type and looking for a GM rather than anything else, I figured I would give it a chance. So let's go through the details. Recently, players in my virtual tabletop group have been trying the Beginner's Game for Edge of the Empire, the Fantasy Flight Games interpretation of the Star Wars franchise. This has been done under my direction as GM and we have managed to use the unholy combination of Google Hangouts, Ventrilo, Roll20, and some elbow grease to get some nice versions of the FFG dice working. So all has been going well so far! While we still have another session to finish up the initial adventure, at this point it seems like the system is more-or-less a hit with the players. In particular, it manages to involve some of our players that often can be rather quiet when we play games such as Pathfinder. The downside is that, as a Star Wars fan myself and more of a player than GM at heart, I would very much like to be able to play in the game rather than direct the storyline. The solution? The glory that is the internet! So now, with that background out of the way, let me get to the nuts and bolts. The Players: We have upwards of five players. Two are on the somewhat quiet side without being given tasks oriented toward them, while the remaining three are more typically active roleplayers. Star Wars expertise is typically focused on the level of the movies, with spatterings of Old Republic. Overall, good peoples! Four are native English speakers, while the fifth might as well be (theoretically speaks Danish, thinks in English anyways). Available Time Zones: The trickiest part. Four of the players are active in a game on Sunday (7-11PM EST), and a slightly different are active in a game on Saturday (3-7PM EST, nominally). We have one player in PST and another player at UTC+0100. For the time being, we've been using a timeslot on Friday (4-7PM EST) which varies a little off-and-on as a result of the availability of the Danish player due to the winter retail rush. While we're open to time zone propositions, I find this is probably the trickiest part. Desired Game: The Fantasy Flight Games Star Wars system is what we are currently looking at. In particular, Edge of the Empire or Age of Rebellion seem most popular with the players in terms of focus. They've already made characters for Edge of the Empire, though it is feasible that they might be willing to modify for another game easily enough. Personally, I feel that Force & Destiny lacks the same appeal due to the unreliability of the Force in the system, but we'd probably be willing to try anything. Relay ideas at will! I'm happy to answer any questions that I need to, though I can't think of anything quite at the moment! Contact away!
