Dreaded Fate: Chargebearers and Harbingers of Darkness is a game that I have been developing for some time and have recently completed. It is the basis of a custom rule set; crafted to make this game possible. Please read the following points thoroughly: (for both The Game and Players) The Game: 1. The custom rule set is logic, common sense, and some fantasy. Don't assume and don't come in with expectations for any "class". 2. The game centers around a few characters known as the "Chargebearers", or those who carry a charge, and "Harbingers of Darkness", or those who bring about the end. The group of players must unanimously agree to be either good (Chargebearers) or evil (Harbingers of Darkness). PvP is strictly disallowed unless it can add to the game and everyone agrees to the type of PvP beforehand (like that of stealing from allies in the name of fun; the item or items will be returned before an issue arises). Then players must unanimously agree to share a close history, like that of being from the same family, being close friends from the same hometown, or being raised within or by the same organization. Be aware that this means you must work with everyone else to create the basis of your character. The actual class(es) and race(s) you can be will still be somewhat open. For example, monks won't grow up in a thieves' guild and it is unlikely that a thief would be kept in a monastery. 3. The game will be using a mixed attribute-skill system. Attributes are your roll and skills are your modifier; attributes determine whether you can accomplish something and skills determine how well you can do it. Skills only increase as you use them. There are no classes and there are no levels. Just age, attributes, and skills. Each player may have one unique skill. 4. This game will focus on realism over fantasy in order to make fantasy more intriguing, but more importantly to make players immerse more. You won't know your exact hit points, you won't encounter "monsters" or magic very often, and the simplest of enemies can eliminate any player in a single strike. On the flip side, enemies won't know their exact situation (so they won't know they have 5 hp and you might have 50, and therefor run), can be eliminated by a player in a single strike (if you get really luck or are very smart and efficient with your actions), etc. Each situation will have the potential to be threatening or at least problematic for players. 5. The game will contain graphic content. Heart-rending murder or slaughter, both singular or massive in scale. Horrifying or intense sexual acts. Chilling horror (actual horror, not jump scares). This game won't be for the faint of heart or those looking for an easy game. Players: 1. You must be able to attend at least one game each week, unless something comes up. Each game will likely be played later (5pm PST / 8pm EST), but earlier times can be done. 2. You must have a mic and be heard clearly on either Skype or Roll20. You must be able to communicate clearly, regularly. 3. Conduct yourself well and be respectful. Any sign of drama or attitude will result in you being removed from the game immediately, no questions asked. I understand there might be something you won't like, so attitude for that is acceptable (as players do get immersed into the game). But you must be able to move on within a reasonable amount of time. If you're still sour that your character's girlfriend or brother died two sessions ago, you will be removed. 4. Be knowledgeable of the game (the above points from both sections) and accept them. 5. Lastly but most importantly, you are responsible for your actions. I don't want to hear "Well I can't move because you won't let me because everyone is talking me out/down!" Well, it's your responsibility to bring an issue up to me. This is why you must be able to communicate clearly and regularly . Other notes about the game  (notes on setting, gameplay, technology, magic, etc)
