[LFP] Marvel Superheroes Campaign (Saturdays)

Hello. I'm in a Marvel Superheroes campaign and we're looking for a fourth member. Requirements are that you must be at least 20 years old, available on Saturdays (and occasionally days outside Saturday), and to have a sense of humor. We're specifically looking for a more serious player to play foil to a... more ridiculous player (he may literally be killing the DM). You'll have to get on before Saturday to sit down with the DM in order to build a character.
Is this the FASERIP system? What times?
as Snorp said what's the system, I learn quick

It's a FASERIP, d100 system. We usually play after 7-8pm EST on Saturdays, but we can play later or earlier depending on the needs of the players. EDIT: IMO, it is a really simple/quick system to learn. It focuses more on roleplay and creative thinking, rather than min-maxing and getting better modifiers.
Hmmm, I have a game I run in between 9pm and midnight EST, so I don't think it'll work out for me.  I'm just curious how he does character creation, does he do the random rolls from the book?
Ah, I would love to play another MHS game.  This character (the one that my profile is based on) actually started in an MHS game about 17-18  years ago.  I would have some questions, though... The most important question is...  what avenues are you using for the game?  Text?  Voice?  Video?  Are you requiring outside programs, like Skype or Hangouts?  I only play in text games, and I won't add Skype to my computer, so this somewhat limits what games I can pay in.  (I do have Google, though, so I could chat through that.) If we get past that hurdle, is the age requirement for the player?  I'm assuming that it is, which puts me in the clear, but my favorite character for MHS actually falls under the limit, which is why I'm asking to be sure.  I have characters that I could easily work into that age limit if it is a character limitation, but the one would feel out of place to play as older. Which brings me to what you actually consider a "serious" player.  Since you're looking for a sense of humor, my guess is that you mean someone that keeps to a comic book feel, and not that there isn't humor built into the character.

Pending no life sabotage, I think that's Sunday morning for me, so that should work out.
Unfortunately, Megan, we communicate through Skype. The age requirement is for the player, not the character. By serious, I should have said "a serious character", rather than a serious player.  The process the GM and I went through to create my character was 1: roll for talents (read: skills), 2: we discussed what would make sense for my character and why he would have the rolled talents, 3: roll for attributes, 4: roll for powers that make sense with the talents and character concept.
Yup.  I"d be in if it wasn't for the Skype requirement.
Sounds fun, saturdays are the only day I'm available to RP, I'm a HUGE MARVEL FAN! Though I've Never tried a Super Hero Roleplay with dice before. My skype is kam.warlee
