LF Firefly Core

Hello there As stated I am looking for a role play game of Firefly Core (Or Serenity). I am still learning the rules but know the basics. I have some fun character ideas I can talk with the GM about. I enjoy acting out a voice for my characters to try and get in to the spirit a bit more :)  I am UK based (So GMT time zone) I have Mondays, (possibly Tuesdays) Thursdays and Saturday free from 7pm till late. If anyone is thinking of running a game feel free to invite me if these times are OK with you. I would like to be the medic but i'm ok with a different roll as well.

Little more about me. I'm male, 34 ,fan of the show. Played a game of Firefly Core not long ago but it fell through and it sparked the need to play more :)

In answer to some questions I have had.  Yes I am still new to the rules for both Firefly and Serenity, i have played a session of both before GM's have canceled the game due to real life complications of time and such. No I don't know how to make the time zone auto calculate it for your zone in my post, not even sure you can. Its simple to convert the time on many sites online. I tend to just type the time on someones post into my search bar e.g 6pm CST to GMT. It figures it out for you. 'Till late' on my post does cover the normal 4 hours of a regular length game and more. A 7pm start for me would only mean 11pm for the average 4 hours. I can, and am more than willing to play on a further 3 or more hours if need be (not only to make it simpler for different time zone and me be more symbiotic for game times and whom ever is running the game, but the fact I enjoy a good game)  Yes if a GM contacts me I can write up and link a rough draft of my character ideas. But would like to leave things like that info for when/if a kindly soul contacts me that is willing to start a game :D Thank you the few that contacted me that wanted some clarification on things.

Update on my times free for a game, so potential GM's starting a game know and can account for. I'm adding Wednesday 7pm till late as well. So Mon, (poss Tue), Weds, Thurs all from 7pm GMT, and Sat 8pm till early hours of the morning. 

Still waiting to hear back from one person from skype but he seems to have stopped responding. Would like to hear from people on here. No games prepared or needing people coming up soon or needed people now at all?

I would LOVE to play a Firelfly campaign, and have the PDF, in fact. Fellow Browncoat here. Man, I've been waiting to play this since it was released. Haven't been able to play yet, but I should be available on Saturday 7pm GMT (1pm here in the states. Well, mine). So glad they finally got the Firefly license from Fox. Serenity RPG was alright, but Firefly looks to be a significant improvement. I've got image packs of 5 ships - 4 with deckplans - we could use them in campaigns. I'd like to make a cortex hacker character. He'd be a decent mechanic at best, but a wizz with any shiny Alliance equipment.

So what sorts of adventures are you lookin' to have in the Verse? Discussion might be a way to meaningfully bump the thread. Personally, I love the prospect of scavenging on the outskirts of the core, between the wrath of Reavers and the oppression of the Alliance. Then again, I'd also love to visit the inner planets or meet some folks makin' their way on an asteroid. All manner of trouble we can find in the Verse.

I'm into role playing my char for whatever a GM decides. Sure a nice few games of combat are fun, but a good subterfuge with crazy plans for distraction or infiltration are must more inventive :)

Might have 2-3 more players if we can find a time and a GM that fits for everyone. But not seeing any GM out there to save us :P

I am free every Saturday all day and on Mondays and Wednesdays in the evenings after 7:00 Pacific Standard Time.

Oh man, the void that Firefly & Serenity left in my heart will NEVER be replaced. I have no experience, but would love to be apart of this. C M, those adventures sound amazing and have me excited already. Mondays sound good for me. I'd also love to get into character and really just immerse myself in the universe.

Just had my Monday filled with a game on roll20. But if any GM's out there want to sign me up for my other available times posted (along with others that have been kind enough to post) then feel free to message us :D

Charlie, it sounds from saying you immerse yourself, that you know a fair amount. Probably a lot more than me lol. Info doesn't tend to stay in my head sadly lol. If you spot any games on the go bud for a time I am free you give me a shout ^^

As i said Monday has been filled, it is  with a Firefly game, but I still have Tue, Weds, Thurs all from 7pm GMT, and Sat 8pm till early hours of the morning. I am playing my medic and would like to try a different roll if a group is being made. I have 2 particularly clear pictures in my head of possible characters 1 an Engineer and the other the ships cook, is his formal "job title", but he is a master martial artist. I have some other rough ideas, and i'm happy to play my medic in another game if needed. But feel free to post and lets get a group formed :)

Might have another player. My current GM for this Firefly game I am in, and I wouldn't be surprised if I could wrangle up another player also. Although time zones are always a factor as i'm sure we all know that problem haha

I can message any potential GM's a layout for my character builds, and names of other potential players.

Our game may have a Firefly RPG Cortex Plus opening for pilot PC at 930 PM EST on Tuesdays starting December 15, 2015.

I like the fact the thread is getting some more hits :) but sadly your 9:30pm would be 2:30am for me and thats to late for me to start a game. winding down the end of a game, sure, but not start lol. Also I am still a bit new to the rules and I feel a pilot might need some more experience under there belt for rules what with you controlling the ship and all haha. But thank you for the offer nice to be asked :D

If you know any other people that might have signed up for your games BossBedlam and think they are work me contacting. Let me know, and I can start rounding up more people. A near full party for a GM to work with saves a lot on time.

Evidently, I'm free now. This is the fourth time that a Firefly/Serenity GM has prematurely ended a game before it even began.  So, I basically have free time to join a party on your coinciding available days too. (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday)

That is sad and good news all in one. Sorry to hear you lost out on another game but good to see you have available times that co-inside with myself (does it also times? As i'm GMT) But lets both cross fingers that something comes up soon :D

Good to know. With any luck as this post has been going a while now someone nice GM will spot it and message us :)

Happy Holidays all! With Holidays comes some days people can not make. Its fairly obvious, but might as well say it. If any big dates, Christmas, Boxing day, New Years, (thats the night before and the actual day after, for hangovers lol), and the like for other holiday customs, coincide with days mentioned that I or someone else is said to be available, assume people can not make it on such days :)

For potential GM's a heads up. It might be best if any game was to start up it is clearly stated as not suitable for people under age. People and myself included may go into detail in fights, surgical operations or a "seductive" based Influence roll haha.  I tend to make a clear innuendo and then out of character go into any details needed. So a friendly heads up to keep things smooth from the get go.

Might have a spot in my Monday game opening up in the new year. Contact  Panegyris (the GM) and let him know where you got the link (this forum post). You can discuss the day you might be starting and game times and stuff. Of course BossBedlam I mentioned your name already, so with luck he will recognise your name if you was to contact him :)

Little update. The dates and times are still valid into the new year. If any potential GM is out there it is best to send a message and arrange times starting in the new year now the holidays are in full swing.

I too would love to play. I have been looking for a firefly game for years. I even have some mods.

What sort of mods? As in modifications to rules or something. Could be interesting to hear about them.

Holidays seem to be over now. I think a refresh on available times is in order so potential players/GM's don't have to read through so many posts Mon, Tue, Weds, Thurs all from 7pm GMT till late. Pref not playing past 4am :) Are my time slots.

Alan Y. What sort of times are you available. I hope some coincide with my own. More people able to link up with times makes a GM's life so much easier. Feel free to message me or post on here any information you can to make things go smoother.

Well its always good to have more people willing to play. But its all down to finding a GM willing to take up the crew :)

 I've been waiting forever and a day to play this game .  I talked to a friend of mine into co-dming with me.   I'm at work right now .  When I get off I will contact my friend and will start writing up a game

Well I was hoping to play the Cook char idea I had. But he is hand to hand. If we don't need that, i will be happy to play the Dr role as that's away's needed. Or the Engineer but I would proffer the Cook or Dr.

Depending on day and time, I would like to join as the captain.  Also, I wanted to know if Moneyed Individual is available to take as asset.  I have a concept for a captain that I'd like to run by you before accepting the mantle of ship's captain, Alan Y. I've already played in one other Serenity game.
