Hello! I'm looking for a new player for my "Kingmakerish" campaign. The campaign is based on Paizo's Kingmaker adventure path, but it takes place in a homebrew setting. I've changed many more things from Paizo's campaign than just the setting, but previous knowledge about Kingmaker can still spoil things for you. Kingmaker is a "sandboxy" campaign where the players found their own kingdom and try to guide it through various threats. Your character will be one of the leaders of the kingdom. The game sessions are a mix of questing, kingdom-building, politics and sandbox exploration All of the current players have been in the campaign since the start. We play with voice chat over Skype and use Roll20 for everything else. We try to play once per week, usually Thursdays, but sometimes other weekdays. We start at 19.00/7 pm CET (UTC +1, +2 in summertime) and end at 2300. The style of the group somewhat role-play heavy, meaning that in-character talk and character interactions take up a big part of the time. The amount of fights and action sequences vary from session to session, with some sessions being only roleplay, and others being mostly combat. Usually there's a mix between the two. Most fights can be avoided. We usually try to stick to the rules, but use a few houserules (both minor ones such as adjustments to feats and spells, and a few more significant - such as getting rid of the alignment system). The rule of cool is used from time to time. The campaign has been going on for a bit over a year (began in March 2014), and at the current pace it will take quite some time to finish, so I'm looking for long-term commitment. The homebrew setting is in some ways quite standard fantasy fare, but in some ways it differs from the "standard" DnD style. This means that the only core race is humans. There are other races, but due to in-game stuff it's not straightforward to play one (though not impossible). The way religion and other planes work is also a bit different than "standard" DnD, which has some impact on divine spellcasters. I will have a say during character creation, and like to work with players to get a character that goes well with the group, the campaign and the setting. If this sounds interesting, or if you have any questions, please post below or send me a PM! /Erik
