[LFP] Pathfinder Kingmaker sandbox campaign, European time (UTC +1), Thursdays

Hello! I'm looking for a new player for my "Kingmakerish" campaign. The campaign is based on Paizo's Kingmaker adventure path, but it takes place in a homebrew setting. I've changed many more things from Paizo's campaign than just the setting, but previous knowledge about Kingmaker can still spoil things for you. Kingmaker is a "sandboxy" campaign where the players found their own kingdom and try to guide it through various threats. Your character will be one of the leaders of the kingdom. The game sessions are a mix of questing, kingdom-building, politics and sandbox exploration All of the current players have been in the campaign since the start. We play with voice chat over Skype and use Roll20 for everything else. We try to play once per week, usually Thursdays, but sometimes other weekdays. We start at 19.00/7 pm CET (UTC +1, +2 in summertime) and end at 2300. The style of the group somewhat role-play heavy, meaning that in-character talk and character interactions take up a big part of the time. The amount of fights and action sequences vary from session to session, with some sessions being only roleplay, and others being mostly combat. Usually there's a mix between the two. Most fights can be avoided. We usually try to stick to the rules, but use a few houserules (both minor ones such as adjustments to feats and spells, and a few more significant - such as getting rid of the alignment system). The rule of cool is used from time to time. The campaign has been going on for a bit over a year (began in March 2014), and at the current pace it will take quite some time to finish, so I'm looking for long-term commitment. The homebrew setting is in some ways quite standard fantasy fare, but in some ways it differs from the "standard" DnD style. This means that the only core race is humans. There are other races, but due to in-game stuff it's not straightforward to play one (though not impossible). The way religion and other planes work is also a bit different than "standard" DnD, which has some impact on divine spellcasters. I will have a say during character creation, and like to work with players to get a character that goes well with the group, the campaign and the setting. If this sounds interesting, or if you have any questions, please post below or send me a PM! /Erik

I know this is probably bad manners of me, seeing how the campaign is over a year old, but would there be any interest and possibility to change away from Thursdays to any other day really? I'm very interested in playing a Pathfinder game, a Kingmaker campaign would be fun, and CET is the timezone I actually live in so 7PM to 11PM works perfectly fine. The problem on my side is that Thursdays is the only day of the week I'm already booked in another game. Though from the sound of it you tend to be more fluid about the day than most groups, so I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask at least.
We recently switched days due to various reasons. At the moment, seems like Thursdays is the day that works the best for everyone already in the group
Hello. I am willing to try a pathfinder campaign (experienced 3.5 player). I want to ask a question though. Is there any character-creation limitation, due to its being a kingdom-build campaign, and players would be the rulers. I mean, can a normal fighter still be played, as some sort of legendary knight, who established a kingdom? Or players need high charisma or leader builds?
Hello! We use Paizo's kingdom building rules: http://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/other-rules/... It's designed for normal player characters who establish a domain of their own. A regular fighter can still contribute.
Then I can say I am interested. I live in Turkey (GMT +2), so our time schedule should easily match as well. Is there any rules or restrictions should I know? I have access to only d20pfsrd.com, which is still quite content.

Hello, I don't know if there is a slot open , but in case there is one, here's my application : I've played RPG for the last 30 years (I'am 48 with a very patient wife), mostly D&D starting from the 'red box' to 5°. But I also played but also a lot of Pathfinder, Rolemaster, CoC, Shadowrun, etc, etc I also DMed a few games in Roll20.Last year I played/masterized only D&D5° and Pathfinder. Timezone : CET (GMT+1), thursday is a perfct day for me and I will be able to attend nearly all session. I'am french, but I play in english without issues, althought I've been told my accent is really strong :) I am open to any race or class that will help complete the party, I just do not play evil characters and do not really like to play rogue and bard.
I know I'm late but can I play? I've been looking to play kingmaker for a while
Hello! You're a bit late, unfortunately. The group is currently full. Wish you good luck finding another game!
