This game is using the Risus system and will be posting asynchronously rather than meeting together at any specific time. I expect players to post twice a week by Saturday and Wednesday of each week to keep the game moving. The system can be found here: http://www.risusiverse.com/home Please make sure to include the dice value you are spending on each cliche and use stereotypes to define your cliches so that they are easily identifiable. For character creation you have 10 total cliche dice, max 4 on a given cliche. The game will be RP heavy and even though the backstory for the game is a bit serious, I'm shooting for a decent mix of serious and silly during the actual game and I encourage character concepts that reflect that. If you wish to join, PM me the below for your character and make sure to include "A4" at the beginning of your PM post title. Please only questions about the game that would not give away any specifics on your proposed character. -Primary Cliche (value);Tools of the trade;Any notes -Each Secondary Cliche (value);Tools of the trade;Any notes -Character Name -Description of Home universe/world/country/society/etc. // Their view on magic // Their level of scientific advancement and space travel // Multiverse travel Y/N? -Name and Description of race/species/etc. -Character Background and Physical Description/Image link (prior to being taken) // Was your character aware of the experiment prior to being chosen (see below) // If yes, political and personal views on the experiment? -Description of how your character reacts to being taken and being dropped on the unknown planet/moon. Plot Summary: I n a multi-verse where magic and technology battle for supremacy, a small, but growing faction is forming that seeks to prove that they can work side by side. As a diplomatic and social experiment, a small habitable moon is being colonized with individuals with natural aptitude for one, the other, or neither. E ach individual is being dropped on the moon with only basic supplies and at least one day's walk from the next colonist. In some areas, the specialties are being randomly interspersed with each other and in others they are being segregated, while those that have neither aptitude are being scattered throughout. The colonists were chosen by random drawing by category so that there would be as high of a likeliness of extremely talented individuals as there is of incompetents and socially undesirables. Y ou were one of the chosen. You were not asked. You did not volunteer, because volunteers were not asked for. Due to the wideness of the multiverse you may not have even been aware of the contest before being taken to participate in it. You are either magically inclined, technologically inclined, or possess a total lack of either inclination. You may be particularly skilled at your chosen specialty or you may be a lost soul who has never found a particular talent at all. You may have come from any walk of life, any race imaginable, any profession, any planet/world/universe/country, any level of social and scientific development. B efore being dropped at your location, everything you own is taken and you are put into a nondescript skin-tight covering that covers nearly all of your body, but does not inhibit movement. You have a bag with basic supplies based off of your abilities and aptitudes and you are injected with an unknown substance that appears to have made you able to communicate at a normal human speaking range with the others who were chosen and may have other qualities you were unable to test prior to being dropped. T he only thing your captors told you prior to dumping you on the moon is the following: S urvive. K ill each other and you will die. W ork together and you may be rewarded.
