Interest Check: Looking For Players and GMs to form a group and explore the various Fate Worlds of Adventure by Evil Hat

Hello fellow Roll20 gamers, Evil Hat has put out some really interesting settings for Fate through their Fate Worlds of Adventure. Generally these are short 40-50 page books with setting description, the implementation of the Fate rules to go with that setting, and an adventure. These settings include the Three Rocketeers, Masters of Umdaar, and Save Game just to name a few. For a number of reasons, like many of you I suspect, I find myself unable to find a steady group to play Fate with. With so many cool worlds to explore I thought I’d see if there is interest in forming a loose group Fate enthusiasts who would like to try out these worlds? Here is an outline of how I was thinking it would work: When a GM would like to run a game, they post a thread to the group to check interest. Once there is enough interest, the GM vets players and works out a time Once the time is set the GM creates a separate Roll20 game and invites the players to join. I suspect the forum post list may get long, so periodically older thread for past games would be purged to keep the list manageable. I see the group as a place to get prospective players and GMs together. GMs can pitch games and players can seek games in specific settings. The goal is to get more people playing Fate with a laid back casual approach. If gaming groups form and splinter off, so much the better. Thoughts?
I would be up for joining such an organization.
I'd be interested in this as well. I bought the bundle of holding recently and have a number of them. Don't know the FATE system yet though.
Thanks for responding Ian and Brian. If we can a few more I'll set up the group. Brian, Fate is mechanically simple, but can take a bit of adjustment depending on your gaming background. I see this being a new player and GM friendly group, I want to increase the ranks of Fate players and GMs.
If I GM'd, I'd want to run an Atomic Robo game haha. Yeah, my understanding is Fate has a fair amount of handwaving in it (similar to DW). I'm trying to learn how to play these type games more effectively.
Just to be clear, would you rather avoid the FATE worlds made by other people. For example Tian Xia?
Well, I was thinking of the Fate Worlds of Adventure series since they are Pay What You Want that way everyone could get a copy. I'm not opposed to other Fate settings/games at all. If a GM wants to run a one shot of Atomic Robo, Tian Xia, or something else that's great. They might have to spend some time acclimating the players to the setting if they don't own it.
Understood.

I bought most of the Fate stuff, so yeah. The Fate Worlds books can really differ one from the other, and can have very particular, sometimes gonzo, settings. It's hard to find players who would be interested in the same one. I also bought longer works from 3rd parties like Mindjammer, Atomic Robo, Unwritten (based on the MYST computer-games), and Baroque Space Opera. Be careful in that some Fate Worlds books are meant for use with Fate Accelerated Edition, not Fate Core. To help players understand Fate, you can stick in some Handouts with rules summary. I have formatted this one for use in my games: https://www.reddit.com/r/rpg/comments/17h3a2/a_mec...
