[Interest Check] Uk weekend based late night D&D 4e group

Hi! I'm a relative newbie to the DM thing. Been playing 4e with my mates locally for a while now - bout 6 months running. Looking to DM a game I started with them, but ended up not playing all the way through because of scheduling and the sort. Thought I'd test the waters out with players from here. Keeping it flexible and will welcome newbies/experienced players alike. I'm also mostly wanting to play for fun (don't get me wrong, the story and the work I put into the game will be real and well worked on). I don't want people to go away feeling they didnt have a good time with their friends. All I ask for is people who are friendly and into roleplaying. No power gamers. No ego trips. Just good clean fun, with some laughs. I'm thinking of having a party of 4 people at least, playing (and testing) a homebrew campaign I've concocted. Will aim to play late nights (round 11:30 GMT) on the weekends (specifically saturday nights). Push in a reply with a little bit about yourself, how much experience you have with the game and any suggestions.
Hello, I'm keikat, I have been playing D&D 3.5 for like 6 years, 4e I know the basic and I have played a couple of sessions but nothing too deep into development and I would like to play a campaign.
Hey there. I'm David and I have a small bit of experience with D&D. I have DM'd a game using the latest playtest and I have also played in one. I have DMed both Dark Heresy and Deathwatch, so would like to try a game where I get to be the player and not the DM ^_^ From Ireland and free pretty much any weekend
Hey guys, Thanks for the replies. I'll invite you once I get the game listed up. @Kei I kinda started playing D&D with 4e so I understand this one better - its basically a streamlined edition of 3.5. @David, Awesome about the Dark Heresy - I've always wanted to play one of those. But yeah, you're more than welcome to come play 4e - I'll try my best not to be too much of a noob dm. Perhaps at some point in the near future, I'd like to have a little chitchat over this or skype. Just to go over what you guys like, what I'd like to do in a game and just generally shoot the breeze. You guys ok with that?
Howdy! I'm not from the UK (currently in Korea) but I would be interested in a weekend game for sure. Time difference is the biggest thing but honestly if its on a Saturday or somesuch I'm usually available. I have played a bit of 4th edition but not much, though I would like to give it a shot. I generally play 3.5 and want to expand my gaming horizons as it were. I love playing wizards and rogues or some variation of the two, but I'm not opposed to experimenting either. I like games where I can work on a character's personal development (rogue starting a thieves guild, fighter forming a mercenary company, wizard building himself a tower, etc.). For now though I'm just looking to play!
howdy Collin! How's Korea? I'm aiming to place it at around 11:30pm gmt - probably run it for a couple of hours. Should be like early morning on a Sunday for you. Hope you bring good coffee:P When we all talk about it on skype or somesuch, we can all decide what we're playing and character development. I personally prefer to have lots of character development, so pack in as much fluff as you can in a backstory.
Well hey there, I've been looking for a group in 4e ever since my pen and paper group stopped and moved to 40k style dnd. I've played on roll20 for a while and I'm even the DM in several games but I now want to get my feet wet in some good 4e roleplaying. I know most stuff in 4e that you can call me experienced (*blushes*) but I still learn things everyday I play. The good thing too is the time is pretty well placed for me as I am in EST -5 so its still afternoon/evening so time isn't a problem. I'll be waiting for a reply whether it be good or bad :D.
It's not too bad, definitely an experience! Early Sunday should work great! I don't mind waking up, especially for some D&D! I'm signed up for a game this Saturday that is - for now.- a one off game with the potential of becoming a regular game. Regardless, different days, so it should work out great! Any plans for a Skype meet time? I'm available this weekend except for the duration of my game Saturday, but that's in the morning for a few hours.
@Robert Always good to have an experienced player on board. I'm not that great a DM, but what I lack in experience - I make up for in the ability to bullshi...i mean, construct a wonderful world!:P As for the skype thing, I'm thinking we should all get together on 11:30 GMT this Saturday, the 3rd of august and have a little chat! That would be early morning sunday for you Collin and I'm assuming everyone else can calculate the times. My skype id is Shazworth1. Just drop in a friends request with your username on here and I'll know who it is. Hope to see you folks there!
Sounds great, looking forward to meeting everyone!
