Dynamic Light Problem

I'm having a hard time getting dynamic lighting to work correctly. As a reference this is my setup: I have two accounts: one for me as the DM and the other named PC for Player Character (I plan on using a second monitor to show the player version of the map). I just subscribed today (and today is my live game -- 1:30pm EST). I managed to figure out how to get the player tokens to show light (as if carrying a torch) but torches along the wall of the dungeon won't correctly. I created them as token, set light emittig at 20ft, selected All Players Can See and Has Sight. When I sign in as PC I don't see the light source. I can see the character holding the torch as a light source, but that's it.
To confirm have you clicked the button on the character "has sight"?
Theres also the "enforce line of sight" general option in the boards settings - if you dont ckbtrol that token you wont see what it sees. helpful button: when highlighting a token hit ctrl-L to see what it sees. Saves logging in as player
