Hi, hi! Thanks to all the people who've written, good to know we are all still out there! Now, if somebody else would like to leave me a shout, feel free, I will take you under consideration the next time I will be posting a game. I don't know how soon it will be, but I will probably post it a few days in advance. Now, what do I have to offer? A few ready short scenarios, some of which are appropriate for new players, most of which aren't. Most have pre-made characters, as one-shots tend to work well with those only -- in most cases since they concentrate on accomplishing some one goal rather than character development (as Patrick rightly noted), while campaigns are more tailored to allow the custom player characters flourish. I will try to choose the ones where more flexibility is possible however, if you'd rather make your own. Anyway, I will not start a long campaign for people with whom I have not previously played via roll20 and found it fun -- that's just too big a commitment, especially since we all know some people out there tend to not pull their weight, not be there for the games, etc, etc. No. First I get to know you, then we can think big. Just so that everybody knows what they are dealing with before. More to the point - after experimenting with WOD for a couple of years I have put it firmly into my "up to 3 players" category and I refuse to have more than 3 players in a Vampire game -- I believe that is the optimal number so everybody gets enough screen time, the party is not unrealistically big and OP (kindred tend to not be very good at team work anyway) and we minimise the back-stabbing in-team. And can go more into atmospheric playing if you feel like it. I love when my players go narrativist and immersed and I can just sit back and throw things at them every now and then.. But! Some example of scenarios I have had in mind -- do drop a line which you find the most appealing: 1) XVIII century Portugal, Lisbon. You are a team of anarchs taking on your first serious assignment of eliminating a Ventrue scum dictator usurping the country. Goal: to prepare a perfect coup/get rid of the guy. Characters: can be premade, or made by players according to some specifications. Seems like a pretty straightforward powerplay minmax scenario. Is there more to it than it seems? Of course, it's WOD. 2) Modern New York City. Working on behalf of a Ventrue Archont you are to investigate and deal with the city's latest serial killer, obviously supernatural in nature. Needless to say everybody suspects foul play by the Sabbat. Characters: can be premade, or made by players according to some specifications. 3) British Empire in the Romantic period. Travelling through the south of the country you have stopped for the night at an estate of a wealthy lord, partaking in the local Samhain celebrations as a way to cover your need to feed before continuing on your way. The celebrations are prematurely ended, however, once a pair of peasant revellers finds a body of one of the Lord's relatives in the forest not far from the house. This was GMed by me once as a Halloween game. Expect the unexpected, also, horror and macabre aplenty. I don't think I have to mention "disturbing themes" or "mature content" anywhere - this IS cWOD after all, right? If somebody would like to play something slightly different, drop me a line on PRV, I may have something more suited to your tastes. I chose the 3 which would be the easiest for me to GM at the moment.
