"What would I do wit th' people in th' Underbridge?" Vrinn asks, confirming the question. "Nothing" he says with a simple shrug. "People are there for any number of reasons. Some were forced there, some hide there. but for most of them that's the only life they know." he clarifies to the tall half-orc as they wander the deserted streets. "Ye can't help those who don't want t' be helped, somethin' Miro doesn't understand I don't think. Aye sure, most o' 'em wouldn't know help if it were on a mules hoof tha' kicked 'em in th' face. Despite th' conditions they're in, they're proud. 'cause ye know why? That's one thing that they can't lose. Oh aye, ye can take away wealth an' titles an' family, ye can take just about anythin' from a man, but ye can't take pride. So, they cling t' that with all they can. So, what do ye do with a man who's too proud to take yer help?" he asks, casting a sidelong glance towards Ukawada "Aye, ye do nothin'." "But" he continues, letting the thought sink in a little "what ye can do for those who want it, is t' give them hope. Give 'em an easy way out, aye they'll take it but afore too long they'll end up right where they're at, mebbe even worse. Give 'em a hard way out, a way out that mean's somethin', somethin' they have to work for, and aye, ye'll see who has the pride t' take hope an' change their fate. Aye, Miro's givin' 'em a way out, but he's makin' it too easy. Fer sure if we even have a small number come from 'ere back t' Sandpoint, then soon enough we'll 'ave an Underbridge all our own..." Sighing, Vrinn stops in the middle of the causeway to pinch the bridge of his nose, closing his eyes for a second before turning to look up at Ukawada "Listen, I ain't gonna be sayin' who's right or who's wrong. We're all both. Miro wants t' save the world, th' whole world, all at once. But maybe 'cause he's so short, he can't see th' bigger picture. Aye it's true that Sandpoint lost a few people, twenty tops. But what happens if a few people from th' Underbridge come an' find it good up 'ere in Sandpoint? They're gonna get word home an' they're gonna bring more people. An' more people, an more people. And do ye think that Sandpoint could support another few hundred more people all at once...?" Turning on his heel, Vrinn begins the trek back to the Oasis anew "So, like I said, we do nothin'. We offer help where we can an' when we can, but otherwise we keep our noses out o' other peoples business."
