Two new players looking for a game of D&D 3.5e

Me and my friend are completely new to the table top role playing scene and are looking to get into it. We're looking for a game with people who don't mind how clueless we may come off as. Unfortunately, the only experience we have is from computer role playing games (Neverwinter Nights and Baldur's Gate) and a basic 3.5e table top game we played about a year ago. Our timezone is EST, and we're normally free weekend nights.

Any chance you would be willing to play Pathfinder, or are you absolutely set on 3.5? If you don't know, or don't know about Pathfinder, I think the opening sentences from the Wikipedia entry should sell it: The Pathfinder Roleplaying Game (abbreviated as PFRPG) is a fantasy role-playing game (RPG) that was first published in 2009 by Paizo Publishing. It extends and modifies the Revised 3rd edition Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) game rules published by Wizards of the Coast under the Open Game License. The PFRPG is intended to be backward-compatible with D&D version 3.5, while addressing some of its issues. I ask this entirely because I wouldn't mind joining another Pathfinder Game or even attempting to GM one.

Yes, we're definitely open for Pathfinder as well.

I wouldn't mind playing a game with you guys, I've never played Pathfinder, but, I have played alot of 3.5e.

That would be fine by me, though, That puts it around a few hours earlier as I'm on the pacific.  Scratch that, I wont be able to play, looks like the host whose house we play at is free Saturday, so I'll be unavailable.

Saturdays wont work for me either.  But Sunday nights would work.

I'm free for Sunday nights as well. Not sure about whether my friend will be available on Sunday, so I'll have to ask him. Either way, I'm open for a game on Sunday.

I'm good with Sunday as well, Really, I'm good with any day, its just this up and coming Saturday I am busy, which sucks.
