Something is bothering me a LOT today Recently, I began gming games focusing on political intrigues and social interactions with combat and dungeon crawling being a minor aspect of the game. Someone told me I'm not doing it 'properly' because dungeons and dragons should be about dungeons, and dragons, not politics. I understand that not everyone would enjoy roleplay heavy intrigue campaigns, but to call it 'the wrong way to play dnd' i think is BS. It's a versatile system and people can use it to play out any kind of story they want. Have you ever done any DnD (or pathfinder, or just tabletop in general) campaigns focused on non-conventional storylines? Do you think it's 'wrong' to do so?
