Ajax: Rise of the Runelords: Player List and Schedule Now Done read post

In a post two months ago I had posted I was starting a Project to Run Old TSR modules, I have since scrapped that idea in favor of some actual Pathfinder stuff. In the near future I will be running the Paizo Campaign: Rise of the Runelords. This is a great series. I have already several players, but will consider a few Reliable Role Players. This is just a feeler to see if there is any interest, I would like to be able to run the campaign twice for two separate groups as I do now, that is the same campaign for two different groups......... Just to answer FAQ's Level 1, Corebook to start, 20 Point buy, Medium progression, no evil PCs. Two sessions one Tuesday and one Thursday, 8:00 PM CST (midwest USA). Verbal communication is a must (video is not used). There may also be a Saturday Session. Understand these are separate campaigns not multiple sessions of the same campaign. Please don't ask to play this if you have played or ran this material already, thank you. Expanding Roll20 one session at a time.......................................................
Dang, if it weren't for the thursday game I'd LOVE to join : /
You realize this is not two sessions of one game, it's two separate campaigns, one Tuesday and one Thursday both running the same material...............
I would also be very interested. I was in a Rise game that lasted all of three sessions, don't know if that counts as playing the material. Also I'm assuming one group on Tuesday , another group on Thursday. Two nights a week might be too much for my wife. (Still no love for the monk?) Edit: missed it by that much
OH! Well uh... Then I'd like to play in the Tuesday game! Suppose I should have read more carefully, sorry 'bout that.
500% ... no... more like 1000% interested! 8:00 PM CST is... 2:00 AM GMT, right?, That means 4:00am I can manage to wake up that early, but I will probably have to speak in a very low voice at the start of each session, but if that is not a problem for you... I'd like to play on Tuesdays too! please, Count me in ^^!
Ajax, Put me down as interested I just need to see when I have classes to determine if I can join in either of the campaigns.
I'd be interested, but I wanted to ask, no classes from advanced players guide, ultimate magic or ultimate combat, and no archetypes right? I've played maybe 3-4 sessions of rise of the runelords already, but had to leave that campaign.
@ Dylos Level 1, Corebook to start, 20 Point buy, Medium progression, no evil, no half orcs, no monks. Two sessions one Tuesday and one Thursday, 8:00 PM CST (midwest USA). Verbal communication is a must (video is not used).
I saw that, I was double checking or seeing if "to start" means it can be expanded.
also, how much starting gold?
I'd love to play in the Thursday group!
Looks like a no go for me Ajax. Was looking forward to being in another of your games. If you do a Monday or Wednesday get back to me :)
idk if i have to say anything since im in your thurs group already(kira) but definetly interested in either days
@ bryan p. you know you're in....................
I already know Im gonna be in (Barbro here) but put me down for a Druid.
How many people are you looking for for each group? I'm good for either day, thinking either a rogue or sorcerer, or maybe going towards one of the slow start prestige classes (Arcane Trickster or Mystic Theurge) depending on party size. I'm good for either day, if either has room for me.
A Druid will be a bad fit for this campaign...................
I am very interested in the Tuesday night game. I am willing to fill any party roles needed. Is this Pathfinder or 3.5e?
well if Druid will be a bad fit, ill think it over, definitely gonna be some type of caster though
Got room for me on Tuesday?
Yeah, any room in the Tuesday group? Why shouldn't there be any monks or half-orcs, is it a regional thing or a personal preference? Can we use the rise of the runelords player guide?

I really would love to join, except that I don't have a mic for voice chat :( Makes me sad..
This campaign will not start until the other two campaigns have ended, perhaps a month. Keep watching the posts. I cannot tell how many slots will be available at this time. Rise of the Runelords was written for 3.5 but it will be run using the Pathfinder Rules. Level 1, Corebook to start, 20 Point buy, Medium progression, no evil, no half orcs, no monks. Two sessions one Tuesday and one Thursday, 8:00 PM CST (midwest USA). Verbal communication is a must (video is not used). Expanding Roll20 one session at a time...........
I will not be joining this campaign.
Well, that sounds excellent. Currently looking for a Pathfinder game, so let me know when you are getting this one started. I won't be able to play the Thursday night game, but you can put me down as possibility for the Tuesday night. Assuming I haven't filled it up with another game before then.
Hey Ajax, if you have another slot in your Thursday group, let me know, I'd love to play.
Rethinking and realizing a flaw in restrictions, after a second reading of the material..... Druids are fine, 1/2 orcs are fine, monks are alright, however there is still a ban on evil PCs.
You mean the current campaign has an ending? NOOOOO!!
@ Kevin, I'm thinking about letting the group option to keep the party intact but just bump everyone back to level 1 when I start Rise of the Runelords, I think the core of players in the current campaign is too good to tamper too much, that said however the material in Runelords is really good too, so I could see a great opportunity to make everyone happy by incorporating both. Nothing will happen until the Tale of Ancient Empires campaign is finished though....... Expanding Roll20 one session at a time.....................................
I'd love to join as well, but for this one I think I'd like to mix it up a bit, a monk is looking interesting, or maybe a rogue, we'll see what others are doing.
Are there any spots left for the thursday game? been looking to join the game as a human barbarian.
Just acquired the Rise of the Runelords Anniversary edition all 450 pages, all updated to the current Pathfinder system. At least one campaign will start right after the holidays..... Eventually I'll run three campaigns of Runelords so I should be able to provide a place for all 18 players to play........ Once all three (providing there is enough interest) get under way the Tentative schedule will be Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, 8:00 PM CST. Expanding Roll20 one session at a time...............................
If there's still any space, I'd love to do this! I'm an fairly experienced player, and I've already got characters built!
The current Saturday is ending too? You're killin me here!!
Stumpy is too colorful a character, we'll have to find a spot for him................... Goblins Burp and Goblins Fart Goblins Cook and Eat Your Heart Goblins Bash and Goblins Bump But Goblins Run at Sight of Stump goblin song from the Warchanter "Snotbreath"...........
*sniff* you bring a tear to the old halfling's eyes.
Do you have room in Thursday or Saturday for a Summoner/Changeling?
Looking to play a Dwarf Monk on Tuesday (thinking rogue maybe, depends on current Tuesday group) Whats the time frame on the game starting?
I've got a KILLER summoner I could use. I'm free any of these days. If you have room, I can show up tomorrow.
I am new to pathfinder but I am 3.5 proficient. I am only available teusday through thursday. I play dwarves but beyond that am flexible to the party...if you have room in thursday game, i would be interested
Hi Ajax, I'd like to play if there's still room. I'm available either Tuesday or Thursday night but will go ahead & list Tuesday as my preference. I would like to just play a fighter but will play a cleric if that's what's needed. Thanks!
Ajax, are you allowing "base" classes from the Pathfinder SRD? (Cavalier, Alchemist, gunslinger...etc:)
There won't any firearms, so no Gunslingers. Summoners slow down the game too much, but anything else is probably alright.
As much as I'd like to continue the story of Stumpy, I think I'd like to try a Magus, on the Saturday run if it's possible to reserve a slot.
If you are allowing magi in the game, I think I might want to try playing one in the thursday game.
thought it was just core rule book - might re think my toon but I'm in for Tuesdays

Potential Players: Keep in mind that you are going to be a member of a band of HEROES, you'll be interacting with each other and with the environment. When creating a character think about how well this particular character will function within the group. Outlandish PCs may well sound "cool", but will become boring to play if they don't fit well into the party or the world. For all those still wanting to play, please send either a mythweaver link with your potential PC, or better yet if you have Hero Lab, send the file to: <a href="mailto:ajaxthecleanser@att.net" rel="nofollow">ajaxthecleanser@att.net</a> It is advisable to create two PCs so you have a back up if your character is....killed! Or if the character you submit is a really bad fit in this campaign. Remember Level 1, 20 point buy, Max HPs, normal equipment. No evil, no firearms, no summoners. Also request what day you would want to play, Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday. All 8:00 PM CST starts. Voice chat is a must, no video will be used.
