LFG - Very new to tabletop RPGs and looing for a group willing to educate a complete newbie

I once tried to play pathfinder with some friends locally but the commute and the players I was with weren't really conducive to a fun experience. It kind if put me off pen and paper RPGs for a little bit. But I really want to experience them and roll20 seems like the best place to meet new people and have a great time. That being said, I am hoping someone out there is willing to run a game with a sort of educational approach for a complete RPG noob. I learn quick and am not afraid to interact or speak my mind.  The game, system, and setting aren't much of a concern to me. I just feel like I am missing out on a great experience by not playing tabletop RPGs. So here I am asking for an introduction to them. I am am aspiring game developer so GM is my ultimate goal. But I need to play the games before I can create them. I am open book for any questions you might have. Thanks for reading.  Note: 23 yr old Male free Friday after 5:00 pm to Sunday morning 3:00 am. Well it depends what sort of experience you're looking for in terms of RPG, there's a lot of different genres out there and there's still more categories within those, not to mention blends of different styles, power levels, and the difference between diceless and more traditional "Rollplay". You say that the game, system, and setting aren't a huge concern, but you're going to learn different things from all of them. I'm not asking you to choose, it's just that I need you to lean in a direction or even just name a couple examples of things (TV shows, anime, games, books etc) that you already like.
I for one have been thinking about starting a Fantasy Age game. I'm relatively new to GMing, but did well my first few times.
