Group for LGBT role players

So i have seen a number of posts over the last few weeks from LGBT gamers looking for games, and being a gay man and roleplayer myself, i am offering to set up and run games for LGBT folk here. I have 20+ years of experience of running games and have been on this site about two years now and have run a number of games here. If you are a LGBT gamer, and want to play in some awesome games, then i am the GM for you :) The best time for me to run games is Saturdays, and my time zone is GMT (Based in the UK). I usually run games in the evenings (7pm onwards) but can run games in afternoons if that fits peoples schedules better, and i could possible run games at other times but that would have to be discussed. The systems i am familiar with are many, i am a versatile GM :). Below is a list of some of the games i am happy to run depending on interest. Mainstream games: Savage worlds, Call of Cthulhu 7th, Runequest 6, Numenera, Mongoose Traveller Less known games: Trail of Cthulhu, Openquest2, Star wars REUP (d6 system), Symbaroum (Swedish fantasy rpg translated to English) Mini D6/open D6 (generic system), Into the Odd, Urban Shadows Or TL:DR :) Gay GM willing to set up gaming group for LGBT gamers (and friends/allies), GMT time zone. I'm more of a board gamer so I've been looking for peeps interested in joining me for a campaign of Kingdom Death: Monster, that I kickstarted and received a couple of months ago. =3

The only system that you've listed which i've played before is Traveller (and though i enjoy it a lot it's not my strongest suit.).  I've played Cthulhu but i think it was Call and i don't know if that's different.  On a personal level i'm eager for a game which has some substances to it and allows the development of the characters and things like that.   I have an every other week game that meets on Saturdays right now though it may be after we're done going for the night depending on how long we play for.

Hello everyone, thanks for your replies :). To answer some of the questions; @ j w sorry i don't run mage or exalted games, they never caught my interest as games @ RainbowSilks (love that name :) ). Any game i run will allow characters to both develop with the systems mechanics and develop as characters and i would like to think my games have substance :). I will keep this thread open for a while longer to see what other interest it gathers, and then starting getting down to details. If there are any systems people are interested in that i have not listed, mention them and i will give and honest answer on if i can/want to run them.

I havent had the change to get my hands on games listed yet, but i'd love the chance to try them out in an lgbt positive enviroment.  I'm kinda a wannabe dm, but wanna get player exp as well.

@ Noel do you do any fantasy oriented games?  Warhammer Fantasy, DnD, Pathfinder etc?  how about any of the Shadowrun/Cyberpunk variants?  would you be keen on running any of them?

Savage Worlds is a generic system which works very well for fantasy. GMT evenings are unfortunately all booked for me.

I'd jump at the chance to participate in one of your games! Unfortunately the best times for you don't work for me. I could commit to a Saturday morning game (GMT), or possibly a daytime campaign on Thursdays or Fridays. I'm not familiar with any of the systems you named but I'd be willing to learn. I'll pass on the info to a couple folks I think would be interested.

@Rainbowsilks-Openquest2, Runequest 6 are both fantasy rule sets with no attached setting. Symbaroum is also a fantasy game. As mentioned by Grimtina savage world is generic and does fantasy as well. I also have Warhammer 2nd ed (somewhere). @Ben H-if there is enough interest i might be convinced to run another game on days better for you and some others, and thanks for passing on the link :).

I think it's a crying shame that you have to do this and you don't feel welcome in any other games.

Okay, lets start getting a bit organized here :).  I could start this with a session zero next Saturday, but before i set up a game i need to know what the game we want to play. So could everybody who is interested state their preference of genre (fantasy, sci fi, horror, or system preferred from the list ) and from that we can work out which system to use and get a game orginzed :)

I'm keen on a high fantasy setting sort of game or a cyberpunk dystopian futurey sort of game  (though since you also run Traveler a Space Opera would be pretty fun and i've not done one of those in years).  i'm happy to acquire the players book for whatever system we decide upon and be a knowledgeable player :)

I am interested in joining the group if possible. Played a bit of Trail of Cthulhu and Numenera before. Would be interested in these or anything else really. With a preference for things not too high fantasy. I would rather play on Saturday evenings GMT. Not available next Saturday though.

I am interested, if you are fine with having a newish player in your group then I would love to join in!  Saturdays work well for me.  I haven't been able to try any of the systems that you mention but I would like to learn, I probably have a slight preference for fantasy.
