Multi-Topic Suggestion: Keyboard Shortcuts, Layers inside Layers, and more. (Mainly focused on D&D 4e)

Hey, I know some of the things I will be recommending sound like repeats but I haven't been able to find any posts suggesting the specific concepts I'm thinking of. I'm nearing around 600 hours and this is my first time on the forums so I'm kind of new to this type of setting. I know there are other games out there, but I've had little time and chance to really take a look at what else Roll 20 supports so I will mostly be talking about Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition. Keyboard Shortcut: I know this is definitely a recommended thing by just about every DM, but I feel that a faster more versatile system could be implemented for just regular rolls. Say I want to roll an Athletics Check really quickly, but I don't want to exit my Powers page because we're in the middle of combat (or I'm just lazy). A faster implementation of the "/roll d20+8", is more or less what I'm thinking. Or better yet a Player programable action to activate things under the Powers section. Now that I think about this, the Macros actually sound more useful. Still, my friends and I are in the Chat section, staring at the map, the PDF rule books or at our defenses. So something programable into the chat that is faster than "/roll", might be something. I know this is a little redundant because of the usefulness of the Macros, its just that I forget they're there a lot. We usually end up disabling them and forget to reenable them again afterwards. Layers inside Layers: This maybe difficult to explain, but I'll try my best. So basically, the concept isn't adding another layer system like "GM Layer" or "Map Layer", but having different levels inside the single map layer. I know at this point you might as well just make a separate Map, but my group has had technical problems like Roll 20 disconnecting for 10 minutes or the new map never showing up. The idea is including a layer to physically show players "Unnamed Skeleton 1 is 10 feet above you, you cannot perform melee attacks against him.". Yes, you could just tell your players in the chat, over Skype or through Roll 20's AV system. But I feel it would make a faster easier player experience for you to plop down the map, have the players see the map, and have them recognize and immediately understand "Oh hey that's like a 40 foot drop." without needing to say anything. Again, these are all ideas and concepts. But any community feedback, thoughts and/or criticism would be appreciated. Inventory Specification: This is a VERY SPECIFIC problem for D&D 4e. When I'm typing out inventory for NPC's and Players alike, I run into a problem of the absence of obvious choices for items. Example - Paranoid Wizard carries 4 Wands on his person at all times. The Wands are placed in his inventory, but when selecting where it is equipped the option of "Implement", is not there. The item is forced to remain "Unequipped", or to be considered a "Holy Symbol" (which is nice to see the Holy Symbol is not being neglected, as many online Table Top games seem to ignore) or as a "Ki Focus" (which is an entirely different concept of casting). Another example which I feel is VERY important to point out, is there is no option to label something as "Backpack", or just "Pack". I have an item called "Pack", in every character's inventory (unless it doesn't make any sense) and it bothers me to have to equip it the item as "Waist". While I'm on the topic of Backpack inventory. The character's "Pack" usually contains multiple items like Rations, Rope, Flint & Steel and Torches. Having to calculate in my head or type out everything's Price and weight next to the name in order to know the total weight of the Backpack is ludicrous. Its very bothersome to have to calculate what the total amount of of weight that character has on them. An Automatic Carry Weight display and a bullet point system with stats inside an item marked as "Backpack", would be fantastic and would be beyond appreciated! I'm not trying to hate on Roll 20 for not having things like this. But I feel the topic of these individual items should be brought to attention. At least for the D&D 4e players, I'm not certain how the other games get along with it. Once again, these are all ideas and concepts and any community comments, thoughts, feedback and/or criticism would be nice to hear. Even if it's in disagreement (which since I'm bringing this up as an open discussion, I feel should not breach Code of Conduct, but I wouldn't hold anything against Roll 20 if they disagreed with what I've just typed).
