As this mission only included 1 player there was not much out of combat conversation.  During a regular mission characters are allowed any number of posts during an out of combat time slot and the GM post will be the catalyst to move the time frame forward (much like what would happen on a table top).

DAY 1 SLOT 3 "Attack!!," yells Harold and he and Flint charge into battle.  Knowing that a crab has a tough shell, Harold makes sure to aim at the softer parts if possible.  Flint pads forward and swats at the crab with a razor sharp claw while Harold runs to the other side of the creature and attempts to slash at it from behind.  The crab, seeing them approach, manages to sidestep the claw as Harold's scimitar bounces off it's shell.  "Come on old friend, we can do better than this, " shouts Harold. // (Initiative: Harold 20 (Full action), Flint 15(5 foot step and Standard) (Know: Nature 22)

Each player may make this check and i will take the highest role OR you may choose to assist and post you assist and add +2 to the highest role if you do. (OOC) I need a survival check but gain a +4 bonus (2 for every 5 over 10) from your profession cook roll. Your target will be 12 and you can get 1d4 meals from the crab if successful DROP OUT OF COMBAT (OOC)  At this point we are out of initiative and you can write things that would take longer than 6 seconds PLAYER RESPONSE DAY 2 SLOT 3

DAY 2 SLOT 3 Harold spends some time and very carefully removes as much of the crab meat as possible, stowing it away 4 meals worth in his backpack for later.  Having taken care of the meat, he calls over Flint and takes a look at his leg where the crab had pinched him. Calling upon some healing power Harold waves his hand over the injury and it closes up, good as new.  Harold then turns his attention to the driftwood.  "Let's see how much wood we can get here and then head back. "  Harold carefully gathers a large stack of wood and then prepares to head back to camp. //(Survival: 26 + 4(from cooking) = 30) //4 meals worth of meat harvested from the crab //Cure Light Wounds for 6 brings Flint back up to full   //(Survival: 15 + 3(from 1d4 rolll) ) Harvest 4 units of firewood
CONCLUSION Well .. it turns out doing menial work sometimes pays off.  Well Done! REWARDS:   1 MP 4 Crab Meat (Uncooked) 4 Goods (lumber) Rewards should be split with the party Some missions might have quest items or start quests // note in this case Ian is the only account so he gets to keep all the goods.
