Resources for running large-scale games?

Hello, roll20 forums! I've used roll20 for several excellent D&D campaigns and I'm quite taken with it, but I've recently moved from D&D to Adventurer Conquerer King System, a D&D retroclone. What makes it special to me is the Domains at War expansion, which is essentially a D&D compatible wargame. (Oh, the Fellowship arrived at Helm's Deep and were given command of several hundred men each? That's three units of archers for Legolas, two units of militia and one heavy cavalry for Aragorn...) Unfortunately, setting up a battle with 20+ tokens on each side is brutally inefficient as far as I can tell. Is there a way to change the settings on many tokens at once? IE: I'd like to select every token at once and set them all to show nameplate, then select half of them and assign them all to the players, then select a quarter of them at a time and give them colored dots to mark which division they're in so Magnar doesn't move Ferric's archers by mistake... right now I'm doing them one at a time. I'm sure there's a whole host of tips and tricks I'm missing, and I'm working my way through all the tutorials I can find, but I haven't noticed one that mentions how to deal with the logistics of big games yet so I thought I'd drop this here while I'm reading. Thanks in advance, roll20! <3

Without the API, working with all of those units will be a very manual task. If you know what you want to do with them ahead of time, you can make one character for each type of unit, and setup it's default token correctly for that unit. (Represents that character, has the right dot set, has the correct permissions on the token to show name plates and such, has the right hit points, etc). Once you've done that, you can drag out that character for the first unit, then copy paste it enough times to fill out the rank and file. Since each unit then has it's own character, you can assign control of that character to the player you want to have it. That's probably the easiest manual way of doing it. Helpful links: https://wiki.roll20.net/Linking_Tokens_to_Journals https://wiki.roll20.net/Journal#Bio_.26_Info_Tab
Thanks for the tip!
