Welcome! The Brave New World Team Welcomes You To An Epic Adventure! You are about to embark on something truly unique. Before you get too far we ask that you read our RULES AND REGULATIONS . We are creating something new and with that comes it own set of rules that you will need to become familiar with. It may take you a little time to get up to speed but we are helpful bunch and if you have any questions please ask either on the VTT (Virtual Table Top) or here New Player Help Desk . There is a little 'light' reading that can be done here Forum Navigation Page . Between this and the stickies on the home page you should be able to find all the information you need to play the game. There is a lot out there though so you may want to take it easy and do a few simple things first. Step 1: Create a character. If you are familiar with Pathfinder then this part will be a breeze. The character creation guide can be found here: Character Creation . Just read the character creation part for now, npcs and cohorts can wait. If you are wanting to use any 3rd party material you need to have it approved by the GM team. You would post that for approval here: Allowed Materials . Once you have your character ready you need to store it on the VTT(Virtual table top) using this information: Character Sheet Creation Step 2: Once you have a character, it is time to learn about quests. The initial Quests are designed to help you learn how to navigate through this crazy world. It is very advisable to complete every one of the quests, plus you get some nice rewards. The quest guide can be found here: QUESTS!!! Step 3: Kingdom Points (or KP for short) are an approximation of how much influence you have gained with the community. Gaining KP will unlock several benefits including free rooms, having access to a NPC to work in your shop, and gaining a cohort to aid you in your travels. More information can be found here: KP Tracker Step 4: Missions are a weekly opportunity to participate in an adventure with other settlers. You sign up for missions on the VTT under the upcoming missions tab. We complete missions through a series of posts on the forum. During non-combat time you are allow to post as much as you would like, to allow for role-play between the characters. The gm of the quest will progress time through their posts. Once combat starts we only make one post per time slot. It may seem a little weird at first, but I promise after your mission you'll feel much more comfortable. More information on missions can be found here: Missions Step 5: Now that you are signed up for a mission you should go mingle, hop into an adventure thread , start looking into the downtime system , figure out how exploration works, or just go hang out on the VTT and chat with some nice people.
