[LFG] ASoIaF RPG

Hey guys! Looking to find a group to play with for ASoIaF, I'd prefer not to GM, but I know GMs are a prized commodity so I can run a game. I'm in PST and can play after 4pm any day. I have a lot of experience with the system and with the setting.

I would love to play in this system and once I have more experience with SIFRP and Roll20 I would be happy to run games in it.  But you first LOL

Do you know the setting at all?

I am extremely familiar with Westeros both in the time of Ned Stark and in the time of Eg and Dunk.  Read the books, short stories, graphic novels and current on the series.  I would prefer a game not in post Roberts Rebellion time frame.  I am working on a story (for a game) pre-Blackfyre Rebellion, that seems like a time that can truly be explored and exploited using the outline Martin has laid out. Having said all of the above if you are less familiar or would want to change details of history, that's fine too.

Ive been wanting to try out this system.  Zero experience with it and I know the history from the show and am currently reading the books.  Please keep me in mind if this takes shape.  I am CST and am available after 7pm my time any day but Fri/Sat and Tues(current game days). 

How far earlier in the history have you been thinking?

A little over 100 years before Robert's Rebellion.  Before the First Blackfyre Rebellion, but only a few years before. I won't be ready to run anything for quite a while.  I am PST as well.

Well I have a few timelines I might run, but if you want to run one then, I'd be down.

But Lore wise I'm good at all timelines

No I would much rather play in a game, because I have never even played in a game of SIFRP yet.

Usually ASOIAF gets like 20 people dogpiling on it as soon as even a hint of a game is announced.  If the time works out I'd definetely like to be considered for a player spot.

Jake, What would make a well rounded party for you?  I can play about any roll and would be happy to fill in any gaps you felt a group had.

Well rounded party, 1 or 2 soldiers, 1 or 2 talkers, and a knowledge role

I think a solider suits me best as I have zero experience with the system and only know the lore form the show until I read more of the books.

What do you think your schedule for this game will be?  What time zone are you in?

Around 5pm PST, day is up to the group, weekends can be earlier or later.

5PM works for me, what voice chat do you use?  My previous games were done via Mumble or some other outside tool.

Anointed Knight would be my first choice of character but if you need a schemer I can do that too...

Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays would be out for me personally but since I have so many restrictions even I wouldn't cater to me so much.  That said if they day did work out in my favor I'd probably go for a fighter type, maybe a bastard son/daughter or knowledge in a maester or maester like character.  

As I am certainly the oldest gamer of the group (started playing D&D in 1981) I could be house patriarch, aging maester or castillian (head man-at-arms).

I'm still fairly new, been playing about 6 years now, and only going for like, 5 months, so everyone will have to stick with me :)

6 years is not new and if you are into the ASoIaF world I'm with you.
