LFG Listing to apply You come back to your senses. Awakening with a headache, you wonder what's going on. Who are you, and what happened. In front of you, a creature you have never seen before. In the background, a beautiful scenery: several tall rock formations pierce the heavens, surrounded by plains more green than you could dream. And as you see these unknown creatures float in the skies, you realize one thing for sure: this place is not what you remember to be your home. Pristine Mira is supposed to offer you, the players, a relaxed experience as you explore the to you unknown plane Mira. Your character will be found unconscious with no memory of his past to be remembered. This setting offers you to explore the world of Xenoblade Chronicles X before any technologically advanced races started inhabiting the planet. Thus, i recommend you not to join if you are aware of major details of the world, as you will know all of the secrets. With this huge unexplored world featuring multiple zones, the players will be left with tons of choices as to what to do, whether it be explore, investigate the foreign wild life or complete tasks for other sentient beings. I'm hoping it will be a blast to both show players one of the greatest worlds ever created and enjoy ourselves with some roleplaying. Other info: Since this world will be based off a video game called "Xenoblade Chronicles X", i highly recommend you avoid any information regarding it, spoilering yourself would ruin the experience! As mentioned above, this will be pretty videogamey. If you look for a more realistic or medieval type of game, this campaign might be the wrong choice. I will lay focus on imagery and music straight from the game, so be aware of that. I prefer new players to join the campaign, as i had particularly bad experiences with "elitist" players. If you are experienced and interested, i don't mind you applying, but please be aware the odds are high the remaining players might be newbies. I don't mind helping anybody getting into the D&D Next system, so don't be shy, new players! I do not have the time to provide you ressources for everything. If you want a map of the unexplored world, somebody will have to map it themselves like a real human would have to. Combat will only be done on the grid if it is a major encounter or a story-relevant one, other than that, we will be playing using theatre of mind. I am not the most experienced GM, so don't put your expectations too high on me. I've so far had a lot of great experiences on Roll20 with new players and a lot of demoralizing ones with more experienced players who have higher expectations. Time and so on will be decided on once the party is filled. I expect weekly sessions of 2-4 hours to happen. Also, the campaign will 100% not launch before January Requirements: Be friendly and polite. I don't want players who complain about bad luck when rolling dice, other players or my work. Constructive criticism is completely welcome and appreciated though. We will be using Skype to play. We will be using our voice to roleplay out scenarios and do combat in a more flexible way than chatting. Video chat will not be a thing unless heavily requested by the party. Therefore obviously have a decent quality microphone and be able to speak English in an understandable way. Language barriers tend to slow down the pace of the game and thus decreases the fun. And no worries, i'm no native speaker either. Be punctual. If you can't make a session, do your best to inform me beforehand. If you don't show up for too often, you will be replaced. I will be putting a good amount of my spare time into this, so please value this and be present during sessions. Don't be "that guy". Be a cooperative team player, so you, me and the rest of the party can experience a unique and enjoyable story written by us together. Don't be the lone wolf, don't be destructive of the game. Be able to distinguish between serious and lighthearted scenarios. While i enjoy the silly players a lot, i think that serious roleplaying is what truly makes a campaign great for me. If you want to apply, please do so by creating a new topic. To confirm you read the requirements, please include "I read the requirements" in your post so i know you actually care about me as a DM. I will be holding interviews with each player to see who fits the party best. Have fun and don't worry too much. Having fun is the number one priority. If anything boggles your mind, do not be afraid to get back to me. Character Creation will be done once the people for the campaign are gathered and there will be a session zero. But for those still curious, the only books allowed are PHB, DMG and MM, we will start on first level and use the standard rules in the Players Handbook.
