Players able to see whole dungeon while pressing ctrl+ / ctrl-

Hi, My players reported that they where able to see a flash of the whole dungeon for a while when pressing ctrl + / ctrl -
Wow, now that is a spoiler for a map based game!
I can confirm this. Wow lol.
While I haven't tried this, the problem sounds like the canvas is rendering the map before it renders the fog of war, reversing this might fix the problem
Hello everyone, what browser are you all using? I ask because I was able to recreate the issue in Chrome, but not in Firefox. Either way I'll pass this on to the Dev Team.
In Firefox you have to repeatedly zoom in and out and is shows the entire map, if only for a split second, but continuing to do it will let players cheat our maps, and that no bueno.
I was using Firefox and was able to make it happen, so yeah.
In IE with the Chrome frame you can see that the map is rendering before the fog by using the Alt key to not snap to grid. After you have finished placing the token and release the Alt key, you get a white flash, then the map renders, then the fog snaps into place over it. It also scrolls the map automatically to the left away from the token you have just moved, which is very annoying. I'm sure it didn't do this prior to the last deployment.
This should now be fixed for both Chrome and Firefox. Let me know if you're still able to reproduce. Thanks!
Hello again! Thanks for the fast paced rapair action, but this still seems to be a problem on the dev serverside, which is where our current campaing is rolling. If it's nor a huge issue to fix I would appreciate it. Thanks!
It would also seem to happen when zoomed really close and scrolling the map with the browser.
This should be fixed on Dev now, let me know if they are still able to do this, and if so, what browser they are using...
I'm ~30 minutes before starting a game and am noticing this happening on both Chrome and Firefox. I have Dynamic Lighting and FOW activated. Panning the map in any direction reveals the entire map for about 1 second before the darkness renders over it. This occurs whether panning using the scroll bars, by holding and dragging with right-mouse, or by using the "pan map" tool. Of particular concern, the darkness does not render and appropriately cover the map until the panning motion stops, meaning players could potentially slowly pan around a map and see its full structure and contents. Sorry if the cause is slightly different from the origin of this post (i.e. ctrl - / + reveals the map), but the results are the same - players can see an entire map when the view changes.
John: This is indeed a different issue. What you're experiencing is the "slow render method" for the Dynamic Lighting. Basically if the map is too complicated to render the lighting as you scroll in real-time, in theory what it does is only render the lighting after you stop scrolling for a split second. However, the way it's supposed to work is that the areas you scroll to (that were not previously revealed) should show as black to your players, then only once you pause they are revealed....are you saying that it's doing the opposite and showing things instead as you scroll? First off, try turning off Dynamic Lighting but leaving FoW on so I can confirm that's what's causing this. You might also try joining the campaign as a Player (use the "Rejoin as Player" button under the Settings tab in the sidebar) to make sure that it's doing what you think it is from a player's viewpoint...
I didn't report it but for the last two weeks, when running a game through a Hangout, every time everyone leaves or joins the hangout the entire map blanks to a light grey background for between 5 and 10 seconds. This is not related to the Hangout slowdown thing and only started two weeks ago. But it seems to bear similarities to some of the above. Sound is not affected. Cheers, Marc.
