Opinion on games like MSPE

So i've been wondering if Roll20 would work with MSPE, or even if it would be allowed ?

Could you provide more information regarding MSPE. Perhaps, a name? :) - Gauss
As in Mercenaries, Spies and Private Eyes?  I'm not particularly aware of its mechanics beyond it being Tunnels and Trolls with skills and firearms, but I can't see why MSPE wouldn't work with Roll20. Roll20 is designed to be system agnostic - and it succeeds admirably.  Without having access to the API you might have to do things the old fashioned way, but you'd have to do that playing on a tabletop anyway...
I apologize for the lack of info on the title but MSPE stands for Mercenaries,Spies and Private Eyes.  I'm pretty certain with a couple of house rules that a decent game of mspe can be run, is anybody interested in testing it out ? Also, in regards to the name, i thought the abbreviation was synonymous with tabletop players but it seems i was mistaken. If anybody is wanting to run a few sessions to test out wheather or not MSPE can run on Roll20, i'd be more than happy to participate.

There are so many games out there its hard to keep track of them all, so I don't even try. :) What are the mechanics and other game elements like? If you need ideas getting it running on Roll20 feel free to ask. :) - Gauss
Dude, I'm all for trying it out depending on schedule and what type of game you want to run, but honestly this is a game from 1983 - you've got 30 years of acronyms to contend with.  Although last time I checked it's still available from the Flying Buffalo website.
@Dave D/ the thing is with mspe you can house rule it to make it more up to date and for someone like me who's expanding his range of tabletops acronyms are not gonna be difficult since there's not much to worry about, on top of that people who are interested can grab the PDF version off amazon so they can keep it handy while playing. @Gauss/ from what I understand it plays off tunnels and trolls (5.5 E) but with modified rules in terms of things like gunplay and the sort. It also let's you convert your characters from other games into a new session of MSPE because it has that flexibility from t&t. My only questions are a) is there enough interest from people to even attempt a game and b) what APIs would make the experience easier for all parties involved since this is a game system where you can house rule into the next millennia. That being said I think MSPE was designed with house ruling in mind so I don't know how that would fare into Roll20

Roll20 provides a platform to play as if you were sitting at the kitchen table. While Roll20 does have some design elements to facilitate certain systems it should work for just about any game that you play at a kitchen table.  - Gauss
So there should be no problem running a game of MSPE ? If that's the case then the only problem would be finding people who are interested enough to test out the system.

Really, at it's core all Roll20 is is a map, tokens, and dice. Everything else is 'extra'. We have dice automation for some systems.  We have fog of war and dynamic lighting so you can hide parts of your map you dont want players to see.  We have music via Soundcloud if you want to use that.  The list goes on.  If you run into a system specific problem, let me know and I will see if I can figure out a way to get it to work. Automating dice mechanics are usually the hangup for some of the game systems. - Gauss
