And what do we do when we're done? D:
Start a new group of characters in a new campaign probably
I got Out of the Abyss module for Christmas. So maybe that if I like it. It reviewed well on Amazon but I'm not too sure how keen I am on a campaign that takes place entirely in the Underdark.
Not enough campaigns happen in the underdark in my opinion.
You'll certainly get your fill with this one. I've glanced through the intro and it is very much Underdark . The writers went back and read the 'original trilogy' of the Dark Elf series featuring Drizzt Do'Urden. Then they recruited R. A. Salvatore to help them write the rest. So, yeah, lots of Underdark. There is even a world map that has the overland realm overlaid with what lies below, including a depth scale. Two things of note: 1) The Princes of the Apocalypse campaign is in its final throes. The next few sessions will show the elemental forces ramping up their efforts as the Dessarin Alliance gets continually closer to the Nodes. Things will happen pretty quickly going forward. 2) I don't want to start one thing without finishing the first. This was something I continually did wrong in the Faerun campaign. DM ADD I suppose. So I don't want to get too excited about the Rage of Demons campaign before the Princes of the Apocalypse has finished. Having said that, I want to bring up a point since we're talking about the next campaign to some extent. I spend $120 a year on Roll20 to create the cool immersion that is Dynamic Lighting. ($9.99 a month subscription). So I have a hard time justifying further expense on maps. I've never asked for money in the past (except that one time; thanks Shawn, James and Zamp for that), but I would gladly take donations of subscriptions and convert that expense into new map packs. At ~$4.99 per map pack that's two maps per month subscription. I only bring this up because all of my maps are above-ground but there are some very nice packs dealing with the  Underdark  that I could use for the new campaign.  I'm not looking for anything at this moment; like I said I'm still focused on finishing the Princes campaign. But it's something I've always been too proud to ask for in the past but now seems like a good time to bring it up.
Also I'm off work until a week from Monday, but I'm on a day schedule with Trouble. So games will be more frequent, but probably earlier in the day too. As always I'll try to give at least an hour notice.
With the Fane of Eye cleared the way is now open to finally challenge the cults on their home turf: the mysterious Nodes. The campaign gained a level and is now 12. All  existing  characters gained 15,000 XP.
Hey guys I did the legwork and got a Ventrilo server set up. Go ahead and get it downloaded so we can give that a shot next time. I'll give you the server info when we're ready to start the session (don't want to post it publicly).
JW, are you paying for the Server or are you running your own. (normally free serves are 8 max / based off memory) If that is the case I believe you can make a Teamspeak server that holds 16 for free.

It's 10 max, which I think will be plenty. I tried to learn TeamSpeak and found it to be confusing and frustrating. I shook my cane at it and remembered how well Ventrilo worked in the golden haze of my youth.
Yes... Teamspeak is definitely a different beast entirely.
Ventrilo is to Zombie what Teamspeak is to Yochlol. "Yes... I see what each of these parts is capable of... but what... how is the entirety meant to function?"

I never used Ventrilo before and it looks just like Teamspeak to me. So your confusion confuses me. But I dig the cane shaking. €: Also, happy new year guys!
Creating a server can be a bit tricking on TS. *I have created both
Yeah it's the server side I was referring to. And also their site. It's like someone ate a heaping bowl of semi-informational text and .gifs and then projectile vomited onto the site.
With the earth node destroyed the quakes in the region have subsided. The factions have taken notice so the campaign gained a faction point bringing the total to 9. I have to work a couple hours on Saturday but should be able to run something around 10.
With the closing of the Air Node, the campaign has leveled up to 13 (+20,000 XP for all existing characters). With the rescue of Deseyna Majarra, noble of Waterdeep, the campaign has gained another faction point, bringing the total to 10.
I'll have a short epilogue session Sunday evening to see where your characters went and what they did with their lives after closing the nodes and freeing the Dessarin Valley of the elemental incursion. So be thinking about that and hope to see you there!
At work sorry I will not be there. :(
Might save it for another time. Give some time for the dust to settle and kinda reminisce for a bit. Tonight would be too soon.
