Here is something I've always wondered. Please don't take this as offensive, I mean it completely tongue-in-cheek and purely for anecdotal purposes. Santa is a guy who wears all red, knows all the naughty things you've done all year, and rewards those misdeeds with a lump of coal (sulfur). Santa is also an anagram for Satan. Food for thought.

Of course Santa isn't his name, it's the word for Saint. His real name is Saint Nicholas, he was a greek bishop in the 4th century. The modern version was a marketing campaign by the Coca-cola company starting in the 1920's, so possibly evil. Now for a real awesome Christmas devil I go for Krampus.
