Let's play the Spark RPG together! When? A weekday evening at 8 PM EST (exact day to be determined), play will begin in the week of Jan. 11th. How long? Games will last to 11 PM, give or take a ½ hour. How many? 3-4 games are planned, so no long-term campaign although I'm open to extend this if requested. What are your expectations? I expect the following of the players: You're somewhat familiar with RPGs. No need to be a veteran, even having played a D&D game or two is enough, I just don't want to have the "What is roleplaying?" talk. You intend to be present at each session. I aim for a short campaign so it's not a long-term investment for anyone. You have a decent mic. You will give the GM some leniency: I'm a semi-experienced GM but this is my first time GMing Spark so I will be learning just as you all will. You can tolerate my terrible accent and don't mind me asking you to repeat or speak more clearly every once in a while. :) So what's the Spark RPG ? Simply put, Spark is a rules-light, narrative game. You will create characters with deeply held beliefs in a world of our own creation. We will then play to challenge those beliefs and find out how your characters evolve as well as how this impacts the setting and its Factions. The first game session will be setting creation: we will brainstorm our own setting using Spark's setting creation rules and collectively come up with something of our own. Steampunk? Prehistoric romance? Noir? Fantasy? Mickey Mouse meets Jason Bourne? Who knows! Afterwards we'll create characters for that setting and challenge their own beliefs. There you have it! If you have any question, feel free to ask here or PM me. Thank you for reading!
