Hey there, all! (EST -5:00, forgot to add this to the title. Sorry for the confusion!) I'm currently looking for 2-3 people to run through a campaign of my own design titled Blood and Thunder, which  is a 5th edition campaign. We would be making our character sheets during the first session as an icebreaker, as I've done before. It works extremely well! Not much is currently set in stone; I'm looking for a January 20-31st start date so I have enough time to play test the first few sessions with my friends but I'd like to see if there's any interest before it's all ready to go. If you think you'd like to join, I'd request that you'd add me on Skype @ xxvalhallaawaitsmexx. Mind the name, I've had the account since I was young. Additionally, here are a few questions I'd like answered, just so I can get to know who might be joining my group!  - Your name - or nickname, if you aren't cool with giving out your first name! - Your age. - Your experience with tabletop RPGs. - Your favorite RPG experience. - What you expect from me. - What you would try to achieve as a game master - A little something about who you are Added note! - If you're interested in learning more about me or my experience as a DM, or about my Blood and Thunder campaign, please don't be afraid to add me and ask me these questions on Skype! Happy gaming all!
Do you have a time set in mind and which time zone your in?
Jake said: Do you have a time set in mind and which time zone your in?  EST -5:00 - It would probably be either in the evening or during the afternoon; my work/school schedule isn't really consistent ahah! Wednesdays and Sundays would work the best as I usually have the weekends and Wednesdays off. Thanks for the interest!
Hello Joshua! I'm currently looking to play in a dedicated, consistent D&D group. Currently I am in a campaign on Wednesday nights. I am available all day on weekends and after 6 pm EST on weekdays because of work. Now for the good stuff! - You can call me Jonathan, John, character name. I'm not picky. - I am 24 years of age. - Played a broken version of D&D with friends when I was younger and currently playing D&D publications for about 2 years. - My favorite RPG experience happened recently actually. I was playing a stealthy rogue assassin. My group had entered this torture chamber as I gathered some bear traps in the previous room. The group was pushed out of the chamber but one. Our bard, which my character had become close with, was still in the torture chamber. Since he had not seen my face yet I entered the room attempting to "join the fun." My friend, now in a cage, looks upon me in horror as I grab him from inside the cage and attempt to whisper silently "I'm going to try to make it seem like I'm putting you in a lot of pain. Scream a bit and pretend to be hurt." I had to basically make 3 perfect rolls, if not either I would be found out or I could possibly kill my friend. I DID IT. It was glorious and we managed to escape the encounter without any deaths! - I expect a dedicated DM who wants to help create fun memories and possibly a group for future campaigns. - If I was a DM, I would try to put players on the spot. I enjoy roleplaying. I've actually been thinking of a campaign where the players start off as the typical group. Getting to know each other and then have them choose a competing faction (telling only the DM). They have to try to manipulate each other to fulfill their factions goals or have to face the consequences of betraying their faction. Sounds fun to me, not sure how it would actually pan out. - I currently work as a Chemist after graduating college and live EST. This post is already long as it is, so I'll end it with: Want to know more, send me a PM and we can talk some more.
Hi there josh, I've been looking into playing d and d for a long time (started with dragon age tabletop since i know the lore ect) but have lacked a sufficent social group to do so. Then I found Roll20 and things are looking alot easier. full disclosure, i have never played dnd before, not that that would stop me from learning the game at a good rate as i have some tabeltop experience anyway.  - you can call me Jamie, Jay or my character name (character name or jay would be fine). - im currently 26 although like most people i feel like im 21 hahaha. - My only experience with tabletop rpgs has been the dragon age rpg, i have been wanting to progress to d and d but i dont know many (if any) people who show an interest in that sort of thing. - my favourite rpg experience was actually during a nice chat in a tavern with a fellow named andrew, his character was a wildling mage who had trouble understanding the way of normal people. he was fairly young and my character was hardened and knowledgeable. Me him and the two other party members had a 30 minute long chat (in character) about how we would teach him what he needed to know and that if he had questions we would answer, which was then followed by lots of drinking and him passing out first (with me shortly after) it stood out to me because nothing plot wise happened but it felt like we had all become real friends in the game and outside of the game itself.  - the main thing i would expect from a gm is to be enthusiastic about his story and to act the part. if there is a old droll of a woman i would expect some semblence of acting the part at least. - i would want you to try and keep the people playing engaged throughout the game and feel a sense of achievement and tension. - im currently a full time student in games design and i would like to say considering that 2 years ago i didnt have the skills i do now i feel pretty damn proud of myself. im a loud and proud brit from the northeast and would like to think i'm generally a nice guy. anyway if you would be interested in having me for your campaign add me on skype Jamie Yull
