Creating a smoother Roll20 experience?

I would like to find some ways to increase my fluidity using roll20. At this point and time, everything is really choppy and laggy. Moving tokens takes a few seconds, is I am building a map and use ctrl+paste to often it will crash. Sometimes I have WebGL hit a snag and have to restart my browser, and its just overall really laggy. I was wondering, perhaps one of my programs isn't updated (I already checked my flash). I would like to ask, could I download a client version of this game? I feel like it'd run a lot smoother.
Hi Evan, as far as I know there isn't a client version of Roll20. There are mapmaking tools that you can use however and then import the map to Roll20 when it's done.
I use MapTool to make the base map, export it as a single image, and then add any remaining details that might be moved around by npc's or pc's like chests, doors, etc in Roll20.
The lag has been a problem on roll20 for a while. I suggest you try to change your browser, if you use chrome, then try Firefox. For me Firefox runs better. I think the lag is mostly due to the character sheet, the roll20 team try to fix the issue with the new update.
