+++ Knowledge is power, guard it well +++ ///CLASSIFIED/// Subject:  Acolytes Introduction and Background Information From: The Strategic Collective of the Administratum  /// COMMUNIQUE BEGINS /// Played By: Danny (a.k.a Duskrabbit13) Name:  Echo Class:  Explorator Homeworld:  "Forge World" Fenksworld's ship Cog's Monolith The Divine Light of Sollex It was my eighteenth year in which I was reborn. Ping. The exploratory vessel, Cog's Monolith "found" the space hulk which would later be designated "Labyrinth". Ping. It was a treasure trove, but it was guarded by foul xenos, which must be extinguished. Ping.   The beast were purple and blue, four arms with diamond edged claws, and had lightning speed.  Ping. What was worse is they used their tongues to implant eggs into the crew, to increase their number.  Ping  It was quickly decided to turn the crew into murder servitors to increase combat capacity, and cut-off enemy reinforcements.  Ping.  The crew seemed to be against this, but they were given little choice. Ping.  It has been ten years our numbers have dwindled, the xenos rarely shows it's face anymore.  Ping  The xenos has been eliminated, our numbers are three family units of four.  Ping The treasure is immeasurable, and we have all the time in the world.  "Something is strange, it has stopped."  "This is Inquisitor Viktoria Magnus of the Ordos Xenos, answering your distress beacon."  "It would have been better, if we hadn't been found."  Played By: Tony (a.k.a. Tony H.) Name: Pavel Reticus Class: Cleric (Priest Level) Homeworld: Hive World of Piety Pavel Reticus was born to parents who were about to be shipped off to an extremely remote outpost of the Imperium, and such the infant was given to the Schola Progneium on the Hive World of Piety in the Maelstrom Zone in the Endymion Cluster of the Calixis Sector. Raised as an orphan in the Schola he was soon discovered to be the runt of the newest children. His mousy hair and grey eyes gave little indication of his true calling. He took to the Imperial Cult or Ecclisiarchy like a fish to water. He sang in the choir and was moved into the Cleric's profession to take the Word of the Emperor to the wailing masses. He was educated in the lore of the Imperium, taught to read and write and how to defend himself against the enemies of Mankind. He was introduced to Rotgut Booze at an early age and his teeth couldn't handle the acid and as such, his teeth have started to rot in his head, the ones he has left that is. Sent out as a missionary early after graduation, he fell in with the Redemtionists and was labled a Firebrand for his zeal dealing with the mutants and traitors of the lower hive levels using his preferred method of redemption: the holy flame. Played By: Jonny (a.k.a. Commissar Luigi) Name: Ulricht Class: Guardsman Homeworld:  Dusk Ulrict was an only child of Imperial colonists Alyssa & Draken on Dusk, he lived through the horrors of his homeworld and at one point was close to believing that his settlement could prosper as a beacon of Imperial fortitude. They sent off for an Imperial representative for the colony and all was looking up. An Mutant cult invoked dark powers and destroyed most of the settlement and retreated into the swamps. Ulricht joined together with the survivors and hunted down the mutants into the swamp, many more died but the enemy did not. As they returned the Imperial representative arrived to nothing and inquired with the survivors of the situation. The survivors were rewarded with an induction into the imperial guard and was shipped off to Tranch. Played By: Loran (a.k.a. Gob) Name: Drake "Gob" Ravion Class: Psyker Homeworld: ? MISSION ONE REPORT FROM ACOLYTE ECHO +++ To waiver is heresy +++ +++The alien mechanism is a perversion of the True Path.+++ Taken to Scintilla, before the Lord Inquisitor who would soon be our new master.  I was expecting a double of sorts, that was not the case her presence a lone screamed of power.  I told of the story of the Cog’s Monolith, and it’s tragic tale.  Telling her of my knowledge in art of war and destruction.  Viktoria, “Surely the Emperor was with you.” “Inde..ed….”  I have no love for the emperor,  no tech-priest truly does.  She saw right through my feeble lies, but no matter I still live.  She must not of had any hope for a tech-priest to share her  misplaced faith. The Dusker spoke next telling of his faith in the Emperor, his homeworld, and of Tranch.  His elegance surprised my Lord, and you could see her eyes light up.  Bloody psyker she be, that or some foul xenos taint that has touched her.  The Preacher spoke next of his training in the progenium.  Of singing, training and love for the emperor.  I have seen his kind before.  Week long annual crusades killing any suspected of being a mutant or harboring mutants, even tech-priests would be the same as a mutant in their eyes. Acolyte Lamark would lead us to the industrial sector of Sibellus.  There we would meet Judge Revon and Arbite Joan they would complain of their hive, and speak of their incompetence.  I think of Magnagorsk, they would not last till dark.  It seems the Dusker, was thinking much the same.  The Preacher would find a trail to the south.  The green liquid would later be discovered to be digestive fluid of xenos origin.  A Noble Pontius Phrenz would block our path, no matter what he would not listen to reason.  He locked us out or so he thought. Do not estimate me, I am not some lowly enginseer. Attacked by servo skulls and servitors we made our way through the industrial sector.  There I saw it biotech.  This stinks of tech heresy.  Preacher, “ We should contact Lamark.” Dusker, “Yes.  No wait, we might be intercepted.”  The dusker is paranoid, I have to respect that.  We next find Red Fang looters.  The Preacher kills one.  I was able to get the other one to talk.  Apparently all the gangs are to provide a sacrifice for the Prime, when the Spire strikes.  I would also hear the name Mordikai, the traitor shall not escape.  Going through multiple doors we reach a cultist.  The Dusker throws him against the wall.  The Preacher scares the cultist witless.  His eyes glow green.  “Be judged by the Divine Light of Sollex.”  Afterwards I gut the cultist, it seems he is possessed by a xenos organism.  The death of the beast splattered digestive juices everywhere  First down the elevator, I see Morikai and that lowly noble consorting with xenos.  I am seen.  I fire my Sollex IX.  Mortikai escapes and I go after him.  A xenos explodes in front of me, it appears the Dusker and Preacher are not far behind.  The air turns a shade of green, no matter, my mask is used in worst. All that matters is getting through these doors.  Before going through the doors Amps sees the battle with the xenos raging behind who wins, I shan’t know.  Door through door I went.  Cultists, I push one into the gears below I have no time for this.  The other killed by lasfire, it seems the others survived. The final doors open  the traitor and the xenos Queen.  This situation I have seen before.  In over a decade of fighting, a traitor amongst us and a xenos parasite.  The ones I fought in the space hulk Labyrinth were much tougher, quicker, and cunning.  What they didn’t have were numbers.  My eye was lost, Amps lost his mortal flesh, countless others were killed.  Afterwards I would bestow upon the nameless a soul, and the name Amps.  I would retreat from this beast, carrying the Dusker who fainted after seeing the Queen.  The preacher far behind, wounded to near death.  It seems it is up to me. The beast charges I fight, the Preacher seeing triple from rotgut and blood loss, does not hit the bloody huge beast.  Mordikai awakens after being  thrown to the side by the beast his plasma pistol in hand fires at the Queen. “It must be stopped.” “ I do not need the help of traitors.” I stab him with my bayonet, barely alive he falls.  The Queen taking the opportunity sweeps my leg, I fall all hope is lost. At least the traitor has fallen.  The Queen readies for a final blow upon me.  The Preacher leaps striking the beast with his blade shouting his warcry.  “ My butt itches!“ I hear screams and lasfire behind me, miss by a large margin.  It seems my journey will not end today.   I yell, “Stop bleeding and fight back.”  Surrounding the queen one became two, two to three.  The queen was soon felled.  We retreat it seems the beast still lives.  Against my better judgment I say we capture the beast.  The Preacher keeps his laspistol on the captives.  I study the venerated plasma pistol. The Dusker calls for help.  The Queen strikes, the Preacher still under the effects of rotgut, misses.  The Dusker throws his sword at the beast killing it.  I would notice that in death it would still regenerate.  What a foul xenos, death to all of them. An intact servo skull’s log, Amps pict recordings, the Queen’s carcass, and a Tech-Heretic.  I did not keep one of the little xenos, it burnt straight through the backpack.  The heretic would not speak to the inquisitor no matter what she did.  Then one day the heretic let out a single word, “Tech-priest“.  “The tech-priest I will speak with him.”  I was brought before the traitor, we stared at each other for a while, once all cameras were turned off he began speaking.  He spoke of the Queens home of Karrik, how it had been purchased by a beast house, and how it had freed itself.  He spoke of his heroics, and how it had been his Emperor-given duty to give sacrifices to the beast to save the many.  He spoke of knowledge he had gained, how it could be used.  He spoke of how he had planned to kill the beast, and how he had found a weakness.  He spoke that if the Queen killed, other of the xenos would turn into queens making the situation much worse.  That one queen was better than many.  The traitor spoke of many such things. The heretic speaks of lies and half-truths.  Servant of the Omnissiah, I think not.  He brought ruin to Sibellus hive.  Among the pistols presented as a reward, a S-Venom pistol was among them.  Hidden from all, it took all my will, not to kill the heretic now.  “Death is to good for you traitor, know that all you have done and learned will be destroyed, I will make good and sure of that.”  “My lord, Inquisitor at the very least all the gangs are involved, Judge Revion of the Adeptus Arbites is likely involved, as well as many of industrial workers.  The under hive must be completely purged no matter the cost.  I’ve seen this before, if a single one escapes you will one day be overrun, not knowing enemy from ally.  If you do not act now. It will not just be the underhive, but all of Scintilla.”

MISSION ONE REPORT FROM ACOLYTE PAVEL RETICUS My Lady Viktoria, Firstly let me offer my great thanks for allowing me to become one of your acolytes. I knew from an early age that I would someday find a way to bring the light of the Emperor, beloved by all, to those souls longing for His holy word. This journey you have set me upon is that vehicle. After our meeting, My Lady, we followed Lamark to the the heavy industrial sector of the Slagerfeld Spire at Hive Sibellus. There we were introduced to Arbites Judge Revion. He was expecting us and immediately took us to his crime scene deep within the spire's core. Lamark left us at this point and we were on our own. There, he explained the scene as it was found and some of the background information. It seems that there had been an uptick in the "random" disappearances of the spire's work force. There had been rumors of boogymen and a legend of something called "the prime". Had these poor souls been properly educated in the Holy Ecclecisarchy they would know that there is nothing to fear but the Wrath of the Emperor should you not worship Him. That being said, we learned that this particular crime scene had three young men all disappear at once. There was blood smeared upon the dirty deck plating that belonged to one of the men, but possibly all three. We encountered a bystander who claimed to be a witness, but under questioning he said that he had only heard the screams and seen nothing. He did not report the screams as such things in this part of the spire were all to common to mention. We released him, but a mark should be put down on his record if he should be picked up again. We searched the area and I found something mixed in with the blood. It was a fluid that only revealed itself when exposed to ultraviolet light. A trail of this fluid was found and we began to track it. At this point, we were met by a noble by the name of Pontius Phrenze. He seemed to be very disagreeable for someone of his social standing. We negotiated for some time for him to allow us access to his sector, but he would not relent. After he left, we opened the door to his industrial sector and followed the trail anyway. No one should bar the truth from the Emperor's Agents. Soon after entering, the fluid trail went cold and we lost it. We searched but did not find it again. At this point we were attacked by servo skulls and a servitor. We slew them all. Echo found that they were owned by Phrenze and had been deliberately reprogrammed to engage any intruders. These constructs, Echo said, had the mark of the Dark Mechanicus. Heretics. Emperor burn them. I found a pair of frag grenades and a pair of shock mauls on the servitor and passed them out to the group. Further investigation didn't turn up anything else. Further along inside the manufactorum, we encountered a pair of thugs from the Red Fangs gang. They were robbing crates bound for the mid hive. They started to run as I began to question them. I shot and killed one, may the Emperor have mercy on his soul. The other spilled his guts as he told us everything he knew. The gangs, it seems, have all been offering sacrifices to "The Prime" when ever a tech adept named Mordecai would send word. Echo said that it was his mark on the servitors. Not just a few gangs, but all the gangs in Slagerfeld Spire and Sibellus Hive. This smelled of heresy against the Emperor to the foulest degree. We released him to his own volition so that he may repent to the Emperor and ask for his Holy Forgiveness and Mercy. We entered another area and found an invitation letter. A letter allowing others into the dark sacrifice to offer up thier bodies to "The Prime". I found a Heretic who was trying to leave via an elevator. Ulricht pulled him out by his collar and threw him against the wall. Echo blew his brains out with his las pistol. He then began to eviscerate the heretic to discover why his eyes were glowing green. To our horror, as he punctured the flesh of the heretic, a foul xenos beast ruptured out of the body. It attacked and we slashed it with our blades. It seemed to burst and showered us in an acid, causing burns upon our skin. Suddenly, the picture of what was happening here was revealed. The Xenos were using the sacrifices as vessels and controlling them from inside. The Tech Heretic Mordecai and Phrenze were behind it all. We hurried down the elevator to the sacrificial chamber interrupting Phrenze and Mordecai as they placed a small xeno beast upon the body of a sacrifice.  Mordecai escaped out through an antechamber door in the back of the chapel while Phrenze was attacked by a xeno. Three others moved to attack us. Ulricht and I fought them while Echo chased after Mordecai. We succeeded, but I was badly injured by the acid. When Ulricht and I caught up to Echo, he was hot on Mordecai's tail. We fought a pair of infected heretics and then we fought the queen beast. It was tougher and harder to hit than the smaller ones. Mordecai tried to join us in the fight, but his heresy would see him fall to Echo's blade even as the queen bore down upon him. Poor Ulricht passed out at the sight of such a foul beast, but he awoke in time to help us put it down. Mordecai was captured, the beast destroyed. However, the full taint of this Heresy still lies hidden within the populace of the Slagerfeld Spire. We had only touched the surface. Xeno's are still out there within the gangers who were offered up as sacrifices in earlier decades. Only a full purge with fire will rid Sibellus of the aliens. How you want to proceed is entirely up to you. I believe that should all the gangs be eradicated within the hive, the taint would be removed. We will travel to the Death World of Karrik to find the home of the Xeno's and destroy them per your orders. We live only to serve the Emperor. Yours in Service Brother Pavel Reticus
