pathfinder military squad based campaing

I'm looking to start a new game of pathfinder using my home brew world where the party is part of a regiment ( about 2500 soldier) they will be part of the suicide squad about 8 people 3-5 pc's and the rest npcs you will be the group that has limited resources and back up but you're expected to die in you missions but also complete the mission you won't be the big world renowned heroes for example you won't be the real world equivalent of Normandy but like operation iskra they bigger battle is being done by my other group there will be mass battles and some escort missions there's is going to be a high chance of death and I will also have some morale sanity type mechanics it will be my fist game of this type I normally run epic world changing games where the pc's are the big heroes and only really die cause they do something really stupid like trying to take on a cr 17 monster single handedly at level 5

Is this intended to be a realistic game, or still fantasy? And if it's realistic, are we all going to be gunslingers? Also, what time were you thinking for sessions?

it will be fantasy the bigger main battle that waging on with my other group is them taking on a advanced umbral dragon that has army of hybrid creatures if i get enough interest in this i will come up will more but for this im thinking core races mainly no mythic and no hybrid classes as for time and days i have not got anything set in stone i not sure if i will do during day like 10/11:00 my time gmt-4 (us eastern) or evening like 19/20:00 and run 3-4 hours per session just wanted to see if there was enough interest in this type of game before i came up with more

Not sure what else to really say just something that I wanted to check interest before I started fleshing it out I have some rough draft ideas but that's more mission based  like the platoon which is 2-5 squads get a order handed down to assault and clears the way to take out a bugbear encampment about 3 days travel from the home base the encampment has been affected with something contagious and they're becoming uncontrolled raging beasts is what the report says so the pc's squad (delta squad working title  and (Charlie) squad is dispatched to the situation just before arrival the squads get ambushed and have what little resources they had exhausted and lose a member or two from both squads but your under orders not to return till you have found out what is causing it and taken it out and the encampment that was reported to be about a 100 or so including nomcombatin turns out to be a small city of about 500-600 people goes from just kill everything mission to infiltration and and espionage type mission

My schedule is kind of crazy (I'm a college student right now taking max credits and working a job), but I'll keep an eye on this thread. I'm honestly so busy that I'm not REALLY looking for a game, I'm just casually browsing and if something happens to fit with my schedule, I'll start asking myself if it's worth the sacrifice.

yeah i get it dont seem to much intrest in this type of game i can have something up and goin in about a week or 2 if i get enough people  im pretty quick at setting thing up and at the moment im free all the time the time frame i gave i just figured it would be best cause i live in a house full of people and kids and no real quite place to go i only have a desktop that we all share and its in the living room and those time frame are the least active around here so there wont be a ton of background noise for voice chat ill give it 2 weeks to see if anyone wants to try it out

well jesse im at 5 players right now i might be able to squeeze u in i have the game listed as the great war i think we will be doing monday 6pm est so find the game and post in there

that would be very interesting on how that would work with the group dynamic but right now i have no openings i have a waiting list your spot is 4th on the list i have 5 going to open to 8 in a week or two idk if all those people still want to play but ill keep you posted
