Old DM, New to roll20. I've DM'd 2e,3.5, 4E, Pathfinder, Shadowrun, Star Wars (saga and eoe), Warhammer (fantasy,40k,homebrew),Gurps, and about a dozen others. Spending about a week in the creation of a campaign setting, watching videos, playing with tools and whatnot. Once my ducks are in a row and I've seen all the shiny toys I can use... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The waves slapped at her hull and the Captain laughed his wheezy laugh as a cannonball landed not fifteen feet from starboard, splashing him. The ship they were chasing had teeth this time, but they usually did in these waters. He tapped his boot twice on the stair panel and nodded to the wizard. The smell of ozone accompanied the stench of gunpowder as the clouds boomed following a crack of lightning as thick as a dwarf that slammed into and shattered the mast of the fleeing vessel. The Captain showed his missing teeth in a grin and shouted "Ready the brig for visitors, it's gonna get stuffy in there real soon!" --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3-5 Adventurers (new to D&D or seasoned) will be finishing up their last month in service to the realm on a pirate hunting ship called the "Melora's Grasp". After that... the story gets really interesting. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Details: Times: After 9pm CST until 6am CST. (My spirit animal is an Owl, what can I say.) Days: M,T,W,Th,Sun (Weekends belong to the wife, non-negotiable) Language : English Platform: roll20 and voice (skype, ts3, discord, etc) Fun: Required
This sounds rather interesting. I haven't played 5e ever before but have experience with 3.0/3.5, pathfinder and several others. That time frame is good for me also and right now those days are all good for me too. Hopefully you can gather enough interest to get a group together and hopefully I'm one of those lucky ones chosen :)

Heya Phil , I'll link the campaign info in the next day or two, and make sure you're on the roster!
Hey depends on how long the games are I can play Wednesday and Monday till at the least 2 cst. I have played 5e so understand mechanics
I am so very tempted to apply for this here game, the set-up looks real professional and the DM looks to be a real "seadog". The only unfortunate thing is the starting times and/or the days of play. This here timezone being GMT+1 and all that, It would require me to get out of bed at 3 AM just to join in on the fun! Regardless,I wish only the best to the DM and all players involved.

Greetings folks! Fred - Like I told Phil, here shortly I'll get the campaign invites up and toss you one so we can see what days work for everybody. I could handle 2x a week if everyone's willing! Matthijs - You wouldn't be disappointed if you made the sacrifice, friend. I go out of my way to make every game as immersive as possible. Music tracks, background noises, I draw my maps (in person, on here I can either grab a picture I like or get all photoshop-happy), and I make it as fun as possible even if the dice aren't exactly cooperating. Example: You reach out to push the orc off the bridge -rolls a 1- You lightly caress his back, he is uncomfortable. He reaches forth to crush your throat -rolls a 1- The orc twines his fingers in your hair lovingly Stories like this are what DMing is all about.

I would be extremely interested in joining this, I'm new to both 5e and roll 20 but thanks to my slightly obsessive tendencies I know the Phb pretty much front to back so rules and what not won't be an issue I'll just have to brush up on the Roll20 mechanics. I've been looking for a good DM to make my first campaign enjoyable and it sounds like that is exactly what you'd provide. I may be a little groggy as I'm in GMT but a 2-3am start sounds like a worthwhile trade for a good game. I can be free pretty much any days once I sort it with work.
Hey Vaughn! My name is Gabriel and I'm interested in joining in what looks to be a very fun campaign. I am also new to 5e (but I have played 3.5e before) and roll20 but I have the Player's Handbook and have familiarized myself with the rules. I'm good with any time schedule on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Sundays. For Tuesdays & Thursdays, I'll also be available if we start on 11 pm CST since I won't be home before that. I hope my newbness isn't too unappealing and I hope that you'll consider inviting me. I will strive to make this not just fun for me but for everyone else too. :)
Hiya! I'm interested in seeing what this is more about. Even if your player slots are occupied by others, I wouldn't mind at least spectating or supporting in what way I can. Always up for seeing a good story play out.
Older experienced player, very interested. I am a night owl too, the times work for me, and I can play multiple times per week if that is your wish. If you wish to speak to me, I will message you my skype.
Hey all! Just touching base, looks like we've got enough interest to get the ball rolling. Will be sending out invites to everyone above this post tomorrow or monday. From that point I'll get a calendar up so everyone can put their availability down, and we'll see where we go! Also: For those that are new to 5E, I'm more than happy to meet up 1 on 1, or as a small group to spend some time doing character creation. I do ask that you consider the following: Do I have a character concept Have I familiarized myself with my chosen class/race/skills/feats/magic/etc Can I commit to showing up on scheduled dates/times Do I have caffeine to get me through the session In case you don't currently have the information, the basic rules are available on the wizard's website for free here Look forward to talking to you all very soon!!

Are you still looking for players for this campaign? I'm a new player, but I have a strong grasp of the mechanics, and I like what I'm seeing here!!
You still looking for players? I'd be interested in joining. I'm new to 5th ed but have been playing nearly everything else for years.
