Any interest in a Shadowrun game?

As the title says, I'd love to get a Shadowrun game put together. Noobs to the system are certainly welcome, as I'm one myself. I'm nowhere near equipped to run the game myself, but I'd love to help put a group of people together. If possible, I'd like someone who could help me learn the system, so that I could run it in the future if desired. Thanks in advance to anyone who replies, whether it's to volunteer to run or just talking about the game in general. Anything really, as all responses are welcome.
I'd be down for a shadowrun game. I'm a bit of a newbie to DnD but i've played the shadowrun PC games and know the universe
Yeah, I just so happened to be looking for one. Especially interested in the earlier editions but I'm open to playing whatever's popular with the group. No experience GMing Shadowrun but let me know if you wanna get your cyberpunk on, I've got a character I'm eager to play!
I always wanna get my cyberpunk on! Hopefully we can find someone interested in running us through the game. I'd love to get a game going.
I know that it sounds like no one wants to run the game, but you're probably going to find that a lot of people want to play Shadowrun but there are far fewer GMs than some other systems. You should give serious thought to forming the group around one of you GMing with the understanding that you're new and will make some mistakes. Also, you should establish what version of Shadowrun you want to run/play.
I wish you guys the best of luck finding a GM!
Brian, I think that sounds like a pretty good idea. I've honestly only had experience with the Shadowrun Returns PC game, and I've never even played the actual tabletop system, but I'd be fine with starting a 'learning' group as it were. I'm not familiar with the editions either, but I usually prefer to play the most recent one when available. Thanks, Poison!
You are very welcome! I have lots of experience playing Shadowrun, and could help a GM, but I'd rather remove my eyes with a spoon than be the GM =)
Im in if there is still a space for 1 more, im noob as well but ive played 3.5 and others, if i get the reading materials ill love to join the party.
Thanks for the feedback, guys! I don't really mind how many players we have, but I guess that would be up to the GM when the time comes. That said, maybe we could, for the time being, band together as a group of players and try to learn some of the rules?
Well if we can't find someone to GM we could always try a rotation by mission arrangement and do a few sessions each. Shadowrun is pretty episodic by nature anyway so I'm happy try that.
Yeah, that's an idea worth exploring. It's definitely episodic, so it wouldn't kill immersion or anything like that.
I've been wanting to learn shadowrun for awhile now the setting is really cool so i'd love to join you guys

Thanks, Poison! Glad it started a discussion about it on here. I only played one session of D&D 4e before taking it upon myself to learn DNDNext (now 5e) through DMing. Mistakes were made but everyone knew that was a possibility going in and committed to having fun in spite of that. As long as everyone recognizes that doing something a certain way one time does not set a permanent precedent for how it's going to be until the end of the world (such as when you eventually realize you misinterpreted the rule), then it should be fine. Good luck to you all.
This seems like a cool idea. I love to GM but have never GM'd a shadowrun campaign before so a rotation campaign is one I would love to join if you'll have me.
I'd be interested in a rotation campagain
Well it looks like we have a lot of people interested in playing, so let's just form a group and make a channel for the game and see what we want to do. I guess we'll have to decide on an edition and how we want the GMing to rotate and such, but I'm ready to start discussing it.
I am familiar with 5th ed, but many seem to be of the opinion that 4th is the best. I haven't played 4th so I can't really comment on that.

Whatever edition we choose to play, I'll have to learn it from the ground up, but I'll just go with whatever the general consensus is. I've created a channel for us to brainstorm and find out what we'd like to do. Everyone's welcome to join. https://app.roll20.net/join/1195034/jcjPaw
