Fog of war tools are glitchy.

I run roll 20 on a mac it's an older model from 2006, ordinarily I have no problem with running roll 20 but for some reason the fog of war tools never seem to work for me. the polygonal reveal tool works sometimes but the regular reveal areas tool does not seem to work at all. is there some issue being worked on for this or is there a workaround?

There is not currently a system-wide glitch with the Fog of War tools so it may have something to do with your system or setup. In order to help us diagnose the problem please go to http://supportdetails.com/ and post the results (except for IP address). Also, if you could take a video of the problem it would better help us see what is going on. Barring that a screenshot may be helpful. - Gauss
OS Apple Mac OS X 10.6.8 Intel Screen Resolution 1280 x 800 Web Browser Chrome 28.0.1500.95 Color Depth 24 bit Javascript Enabled Cookies Enabled Browser Size 1279 x 615 Flash Version 11.8.800 I am unsure if a screenshot will help. what is happening is I select the tool and drag my cursor as if to use it, but instead of a box showing where to lift fog of war I get no indication that a tool is being used. after using the tool even without seeing it there is no lifting of the fog, I can still see the fog of war, when I go in as a player i can still see the fog.it is as if the tool is not responding properly to clicks.

Please send me a join link to your campaign so that I may confirm that it is not a campaign level issue. Next, please deactivate any extensions or plugins from your browser. Sometimes that interferes. Finally, please check your console (CMD+Shift+J) and report anything that is colored 'red' after attempting to use Fog of War. - Gauss

What we have determined so far (correct me if I am wrong anywhere): 1) When I used reveal (normal and polygon) you and I saw them normally. 2) When you used normal reveals you do not see them at all, I saw them normally. 3) When you used polygon reveal you may or may not see them but I saw them normally. We could not determine what the variable for you seeing them was. 4) Sometimes the FoW turns off for a bit after you comple a polygon reveal. I did not see this on my end. 5) There was no red flags in your console log related to this. Please correct or add anything. I will let the Devs know that you are having this problem. - Gauss
It sounds like your video card isn't rendering all the layers correctly (the FoW is different than the underlying rendering layers)...I'm not sure, unfortunately, if there's anything we can do about that. You might try using Firefox if you haven't already, different browsers may handle rendering it differently.
firefox worked. the issue I had was in chrome. thank you for the suggestion
