Thought I'd post my character for now since I finished building him. I'll type up his backstory (eventually) on the CS and copy-paste it into this thread. Edit: ignore the memes... http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=318796
Shouting. All he hears, as vivid as the day his parents died, is shouting. It was a warm, spring, Tuesday evening when Asher returned to his parents' farm. However, things quickly ruined that day. Asher was returning home from the local village in south Raedalf when he saw the smoke rising into the clouds. He was sprinting back to the house, as fast as he could; however, he was too late. The house was completely ablaze. Stupidly enough, he ran inside after his parents. Bobbing and weaving, dodging, jumping, anything he can do to get to his parents. " AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!" he can hear screams come from the basement. After smashing through the basement door, Ash fell as he started down the stairs. With a loud "crack," they gave out under his weight and he smashed down next to his parents' armor chest. "Hmmm? Now, who's here?" says a strange and unfamiliar voice. "Oh lookie lookie. We have a guest,' says another voice. Shaking off his confusion, Ash rises to the face of the strange humanoid figure. This figure is tall and slender, as if he were like a skeleton. He was wearing tattered, dark purple robes, and his face appeared to be rotting. A dark, ominously red glow was occupying where his eyes would've been. He appears as if he's dead. As he stands there, Ash begins to sense something horribly cold, and dark. Just the presence of this 'man' is absolutely terrifying. The other person is far shorter, even shorter than Ash. He appears to be relatively alive, and Ash is able to tell that he is a Gnome. He, too, is wearing dark purple robes, less tattered than the other. his face has the rounded features a gnome would normally have, however with a jagged scar across his left eye. In a small flash of bravery, ash shouts, "Wh-What? Who are you?! Why are you here?!" and in that instant, his mother shouts from the feet of the strangers. "MOM!" "Ash! *grunt* The sword, Ash! Take i--" "Silence, you!" shouts the 'dead' man. In that instant, with a flash of black energy, a beam erupts from his fingertips and rips straight through his mother. "NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoOoooooooooooooooooooooOOoOOOOOOoO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" With speed, faster than any living man, Ash grabs Yamakaji - his mother's Nodachi, from the wall behind him, and brings the reddish-orange blade down onto the dead man. While flying through the air, the sword almost connects with Asher, and ignites with a brilliant blue flame. With his eyes closed, and tears streaming down his face, Ash strikes the man with the sword. "Heh heh heh heh... How cute. He thought he could kill me," Ash looks up to find the sword has cut clean through the Man's collar; however, is stuck in the man's chest. "By the gods, how? HO-" "This should teach you a lesson, boy!" he says as the man raises his hand towards Ash. Black energy shoots out of his hand, immobilizing Ash, and with his right hand, the man shoots out a scorching ray, hitting Ash straight in the face. The blast sent Ash, with Yamakaji still in his grip, flying into the wall behind him, screaming with pain. "Why you little puny -" "Feyorn! Enough! We should go before we get caught!" says the gnome. With a scowl, Feyorn the Dead Man replies "As you wish."

* * * "It's funny when you think about it. the reason I have these scars, the story behind it," says Ash. "Ahhh yes.. you wish to take revenge on the Lich, Feyorn, for taking your parents' lives. But you see, life isn't always about revenge. The gods have clearly chosen you to be one of their champions to stop Carvex and the drow." replies Gearbags. "You need to let go, and put your desires aside. We need to focus on the task at hand! I'm reforging you to fight Carvex, not Feyorn." "How on earth do you know abou-" "We have been watching you for a long time, Asher. You and those other heroes that were in here just a few weeks ago. Train yourself to let go. Through this reforging, you'll see many different things. The past, the future, and the ones whom you have lost," "I-I'm sorry for being so reckless.." "Don't apologize. Just remember, use this power for good, and not selfishness," "I understand," "Good... good... Now, where were we? We have work to do, and you need to find those other heroes before it's too late. I'm on a tight schedule, you know." " *Sigh* Let's get this over with," And with a flash, Ash was gone; only, not quite.
*** Once the Reforging was complete, Gearbags handed Asher the ring that allows him to return to the material world. "Remember to find the heroes," "How will I know who they are?" "You'll know them when you see them. They're a... rowdy bunch. Just be careful where you travel. Ash has begun to fall from the sky, ravaging lands and killing thousands." "I'll do my best to stay alive." Having said that, he rubs the ring between his fingers and then, nothing. The world seemed to go black, darker than space itself. Before he even realized it, Ash began to fall.
Sure, Jan. Pretend the sword on his back is a Nodachi :P
Orcish Encounters : On a fair summer afternoon, when the sun was hanging low, The sailor bunch came across a run-down sloop. After looking through a spy glass, Asher observed Orcs sailing it. What? Orcs on the sea? Unfathomable! But no seriously they were sailing just north of Segral (not to be confused with Sigral). Ash and the sailors encountered these orcs on their way to deliver a shipment of dirt (and 200 lbs of Mithral) to Gibbs Point. As it turns out, After a minor scuffle, boarding Orc "pirates," a few dismembered limbs and a small interrogation after Ash dealt with the biggest Orc there; these Orcs were slavers, traveling back to the Barren Isle. Along with their shipment, the band of sailors dropped off the slaves with their newfound freedom from the Orcs, as well as a few Orcs with their newfound freedom from their heads. Goals : Short Term - Rescue Florianne! Defeat Apex, and get back to the Material Plane! Moderate Term - Complete training with Willow! Kind of... More or less solving our current issue with the Drow, Flux, Carvex, and the vast majority of quests we were given. Becoming stronger so Ash can kill any monster before they kill his friends or himself. Long Term - Finding Sensei and his crew, stopping Carvex, and Preventing the Endless Ones from wiping out the known universe. Magic Item : (TBD)
Poem of sorts! Let me tell you the tale of a Bard, Who's golden skin was pretty hard. There was no need to fear, When he played on his lyre, Because most of the time it did nothing at all.
