Date: 21st-23rd Harvester 609 CY Attendance: Wulrakas, Cat, Daron (Jareth), Virgil ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Recap: Now free from his stasis chamber, the boy begins a dialogue with Wulrakas and Virgil. While he's incredibly vague in regards to describing who he is -- or was, as he's later revealed to be a clone -- he does manage to say that he was one of the victims taken during the Days of Vanishing. He's shocked to learn that The Ritual has taken place, at least to a partial extent, and that a Dragonborn (Wulrakas) remains alive despite this. When asking more about the circumstances concerning the ritual, Daron reveals that he was the one who killed the focus of the whole thing: Medrash, Leader of the Dragonborn. Wulrakas succumbs to a fury, grabbing Daron by the throat and pinning him against the nearby wall. Daron insists that the killing was not done out of malice or intent, and Wulrakas gradually believes him. As Wulrakas releases him from his grasp, the Boy proclaims that it mattered little in the grand scheme of things; that Medrash was destined to die regardless, and that Daron merely sped up the inevitable. From here the Boy takes the group into his employ, by promising great reward -- both materially, and through another cryptic statement of "saving the world." (Again!) The group is wary of the Boy and does not agree outright; it's not until he manifests a potion of flying, giving it to Wulrakas and claiming that it'll be the first of many provided that they assist him. After giving in, the group is given the task of finding the Thieves' Guild in Gradsul. Once this is accomplished, the boy will meet them at the Wayward Dolphin. They are led to a portal which sends them back to Gradsul. Alena opts to ask around with the local bargefolk, and leaves the party for the time being. Daron, feeling that tensions will never truly smooth over with Wulrakas, gives the party some of his magical items and then leaves for good. Everyone else begins their search for the Guild, but not before some various hijinks and the purchasing of custom armor. After spending the night in a high-class Inn in one of the city's better districts, the group notices a pamphlet at the breakfast table. A private investigator is searching for work, and his pamphlet suggests that he's a man of means. When the group arrives at this stranger's place of business, however, they find it to be a ramshackle house in the slums. Some more hijinks ensue, but they hire him on to find the Thieves Guild. After a mishap with a noble, the Investigator -- Jareth -- is able to find a lead after pickpocketing his landlord. A meeting is set to take place in The Beggar's Mug, a small tavern for local peasants. Taking their places among the patrons, the party waits for their quarry. Jareth's landlord, Victor, steps inside, and is soon followed by another. They take a seat at the nearby table... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Experience: Alena – 0 XP (89,650 XP total)  Wulrakas - 8,000 XP (169,750 XP total) LEVEL UP 15 Virgil - 8,000 XP (140,850 XP total) LEVEL UP 14 Cat - 8,000 XP (143,500 XP total) LEVEL UP 14 Goodbye Daron!
