I realize we've got an ice cube's chance in seven hells of finding an experienced narrator for A Song of Ice and Fire rpg, but, R'hllor willing, we'll try. We've got a group of 4 to 5 beginner players that is looking for a campaign taking place weekly, or every other week ideally on Tuesday, Wednesday or Sunday evenings EST. Although there is flexibility on time and day since begging brothers can't be choosers. All have watched Game of Thrones, and most have read the book series. I currently GM a Pathfinder campaign for the group that has been running for almost 2 years, and the group is very punctual and involved. Please reply below or send a P.M. if you might have any interest in actually running a campaign (or even a one-shot) with us. OR... If you are currently a Narrator for an ASoIaF campaign, but aren't interested in taking on a group, I'd be interested in sitting-in/observing a game session or two to get a feel for the mechanics, pacing, etc. (I'm not finding any good recorded game sessions on Youtube) Because if we can't find a Narrator, I'm going to be relegated to that position...sigh... Valar Dohaeris . If you wouldn't mind me observing a game session, just reply here, send me a P.M., raven, etc.
Is there anyone out there who has even played ASoIaF before? And would you recommend the game? If so, any interest in first time GMing/Narrating a campaign whatsoever? Please post if so... If not, Valar Morghulis...
Also, still looking for input from those of you who've played A Song of Ice and Fire. Do you recommend the game? Do you recommend playing the setting but under a different system? Any feedback however minor would be greatly appreciated for the game is dark and full of terrors...
I'm one of the guys playing here and we are really interested in trying this out.
I'm just going to tell you now I played the game before and currently running the game now and you have to be willing to put in months of real-world time into this and be very prepared for a very narrative heavy game. Also, moderators, please don't pull this down because I know what you're going to say you have to "express interest in the game," but I feel that if I just send this as a PM it becomes pointless. To me, just saying this at all. This is a guy looking at the game and interested in trying it and wanted feedback and you know some of his friends maybe will kinda also and other people may be looking at this is well so please don't take this down.

Hi Kobolum - in this case, you are ok as our OP did ask for some feedback on the game. So, no worries! As you mentioned, we do ask that folks keep LFG threads geared towards looking for players and GMs, so while some feedback is ok, let's make sure the primary focus is about finding people to play with. :)
Currently playing in a campaign, man its been over a year since we started....and its been a weekly campaign with minor breaks. The System is really fun and well fitting for the setting so yes, you should totaly use it if you plan to play in the World of Ice and Fire. As for youtube, look for the Seat of Highmount for a good example of the game. As Kobolum said, running a campaign in this setting requires a very dedicated GM that will put a lot of thought and time into this. We play and record our games on a podcast but we have only released a couple episodes online due to time and editing issues. If you're interested, look for 'The Dirge of Caragore' from the Geek Cast Live podcast. Sadly, we were all very inexperianced at the time of those episodes and it might still be a bit clunky :p Nowadays we are doing much better since everyone knows the system and plays their characters well. Either way, i wish you luck
Yes, thank you Kobolum and Markek Z. for your input...much appreciated. And thank you Avacyn as well, especially since I think a post gets more views when it's highlighted with the pink "Dev Response" :) We are still searching for a Narrator/GM, whether it's for SIFRP system or even the d20 Game of Thrones system. If you've even just played either system extensively and ever wanted to try your hand (of the king) at Narrating/GMing, just send us a raven.

Rejoice! By some miracle we've found the prince that was promised. Thusly, we close this posting and take our first tentative steps into the world of ice and fire...
