How to move custom tokens into Roll20

Just started using roll tonight though I signed up a couple of years ago. I really like using my own round tokens but I can't figure out how to transfer them over to the roll program. I made them in token tool and gimp then put them into a word file to make physical tokens. With our group spread all over the place I'd now like to use them in the program. I tried cutting and pasting as well as dragging but no luck.

From gimp, export them to .png or .jpg and then drag/drop them (or upload them to Your Library ). https://wiki.roll20.net/Image_Best_Practices_for_R...
A newbie question because I'm not good with the computer thing, but to export do I choose what type of file to save as?

Probably. (A quick Google search yielded some relevant documentation , in case you'd like to check it out.)

Monkey, you just open your gimp file, go to the file button and scroll down past save area to the export area and chose export as. You can change the name and file format or just the format from png to jpg. You can upload either format but jpg is usually recommended for anything that does not require a transparent background. Most tokens are png. More information can be found in these various wiki pages. The first link will answer you question about what to upload and the rest will answer most of your questions. If you have any more questions feel free to ask them. https://wiki.roll20.net/Image_Best_Practices_for_R... https://wiki.roll20.net/Art_Library https://wiki.roll20.net/Token_Features https://wiki.roll20.net/Manipulating_Graphics
When you save a token from TokenTool it saves in .PNG format automatically. So you can do your work in GIMP and then use TokenTool for the final step without having to worry about exporting.
Thanks for all the quick replies. Unfortunately, now I can't get TokenTool to open on my PC. It has mysteriously disappeared, and after downloading again, it won't open. I tried in FireFox but I get a security message (can't figure out how to override that). From IE, it won't open the executable jar file. Java is updated, so that doesn't seem to be the problem.

Sorry to say but tokentool support is outside the scope of roll20 forums. Go here for help. Since we answered your original question, I'm going to close this thread but if you have another roll20 question, please post it in this forum and we will do our best to help you.
