Help A Noob?

Hi, I'm Nate. I just started using Roll20, though I've had an account since very early in the site's history. I'm trying to get into some D&D 5e campaigns, and to that end, trying to learn it. I haven't played a tabletop RPG in a very long time, and I'm struggling to get my character sheets completed. I'm wondering if someone with patience and good humor would mind walking me through the creation of a 5e character through something like Discord, that provides text and voice and easy file sharing. I have little to offer other than my gratitude, but I make a pretty decent friend, so maybe you'll end up happy you hung out with me? lol Why does a grown man need a walkthrough? Well without getting into the gory details, I suffered a stroke at an early age, and while I've recovered pretty well, it's left a bit of a mark on my short term memory, as well as given me enough health issues to have a lot of time on my hands. I would sincerely appreciate a bit of anyone's time. It's weird to throw out such a random request on a forum full of strangers, but after a couple of days of frustration I decided it would be worth it to at least ask, on the off chance it would work. If you're interested, we could create a dummy game and work the sheet there, or (maybe even better) we could use something like www.myth-weavers.com to facilitate things. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Regards, Nate

Nate, I'm going to move your thread to the LFG forums. I would recommend you add some addtional information such as days and time you can play along with your timezone so people can reference your time with theirs. Other than that you could always hit a D&D 5e G+ community or the D&D Reddit community for getting help.
