I had tried playing D&D years ago, didn't quite like the slow pace. Came to realize that was just because I had friends who wanted to argue with the DM about everything and try five actions in one search. My coworkers convinced me to join in their new D&D group, and after one session I became hooked. It wasn't tedious, had a good balance between action and roleplay/investigation, and it's made me itch for more. I'd like to find a group to play with to fill the weeks when my work group can't meet. I've always liked roleplaying in games and creating my own characters, so I'm good on that end. Mechanics-wise I'm still getting used to everything but I think I'm picking things up quickly. I work M-F until 6 EST. My coworkers and I rotate an "On-call" shift but that's unlikely to affect anything. Otherwise weekends are completely free. I will play to my class but consider min/maxing to be boring. At the moment I'm mulling a Pact of Blade Tiefling seductive warlock character in my head; it sounds like a fun time.
