D&D 4thE Campaign LF players, The Resurgence of The Guild

T he world is quiet. It seems as if all is normal in the land, Lords do dirty deeds behind each others back, People are laughing and drinking in the taverns, a small group takes up a quest to help a small family, and the sun beams in on a hill in the north continent's plains, right into the small town of Bal' Hara. Yes it all looks grand, but if a book was truthful to it's cover, there would be no good stories. I take you back to a small group of experienced but still learning party members. They are fighting through a dungeon with these elemental beast, yes it is a grand fight and close calls are had but the party trudges forward. It is a true tale of the weak showing the greatest strength. Then they enter a room, a dark creature stands upon a high altar in the middle of the room. The undead bodies of fallen friends are now looking at old companions with the only purpose of killing. The battle of their life is upon them, yes they stand before The Wraith. They fight hard, a battle unlike any other is held and a true struggle comes as they push and push against this beast of pure evil. The party starts to fall, body after body, when their leader hits the floor. They look to him for his last words, his mind races, he starts to tell them to run, for his friends to save themselves, live long lives. He knows though that there is no escape. Though if no escape exist then with his last breath he will give words to live by, words that show there is always another option, words to, "Ru-Believe". With that, the leader named, Bal' Hara, dies. The rest of the party soon falls and the wraith lives to spread his darkness. Years later, in the very city named after the fallen hero, the guild hall is run down, the buildings shody, the inn in need of repairs. It is a truly dark time in the city of Bal' Hara. Wait, what is this? No it can't be, young, ignorant, brave, and damn strong spirited adventures come to the city. They want to start up the Guild? Life will be brought back to the Guild of old? Yes, it's true, the Guild will regain power, it's name will be spread across the land once again. People! Rejoice! The Resurgence of The Guild is true! As it is real though, no story is true to it's cover, because what kind of story would that be? Welcome! Now that you've made it through the small backstory (trust me that is tiny as hell compared to the rest of the backstory) let's get to brass tax! Now this is the homebrew campaign of the man known as The Mutt, The Resurgence of The Guild. It is a LONG running campaign as I started a few months ago and we are NOT EVEN CLOSE to finishing. We are looking for A lot of players of any experience, of every type, of any character. Now there are quite a few subjects that I need to cover about what you would be joining into and what it means that you are one of us so I will cut up the post into small sections of things like when we play, our community and other things. Here we go! WHEN WE PLAY AND ATTENDANCE--- Our DM is based in Central USA timezone and we play later at night. Sessions start at 9:30 pm his time, they usually run till midnight (also his time) sometimes they go a little longer. Days are as follows, Tuesday is for group one members, Wednesday is for group 2, and Thursday is for New entries. No matter your tittle though you may be able to get into any of these sessions, first call will go the the people who are in said group, and then there will be room for backups if not all slots are filled. Now as I said this is a long running campaign, and if you are not looking for something that could go very long then this is not the campaign for you. We've been going for months and as I said this is no where close to stopping. Attendance of 1 out of 4 sessions is required. If you have a reason for not making it then let us know, it shows that you are interested still. We are looking for COMMITTED players as once again I say it's a long running campaign. JOINING A GAME SESSION--- Now we do have quite a few members but a lot have just disappeared over the months. The cap on each session is 6 players, sometimes there is exceptions but not to often. The members are divided up into group 1 and group 2, group 1 is made up of veterans who have shown they are committed and they will get first slot on sessions but there will be exceptions again, say you've been trying to get into a session for 2 sessions and for some reason (really this shouldn't happen ever) you haven't gotten in, you will most likely get a number 1 slot in the next session. We want everyone to get their playtime, you're here to play so you're going to play. There is a page on the Roll20 page called "Next Run" in there Mutt will post when the next session will be and people will post up whether they can make it or not. EXPERIENCE & CHARACTER REQUIREMENTS--- None, there is no need for either. In the guild we are here to have fun, it's what the game was made for and we influence. This was my first game and I've fell in love with Table Tops since. We allow you to play whatever the heck you feel like playing. We have a character builder that we will show you when you join that is a great help at building characters. We take the noob to the veteran and everything in between with open arms. Also a bit of roleplay would be nice, we're all playing characters and some of us have gave extreme detail to their backstories. A mic is required to play, sorry but it's to hard to play with people over text. Also we use goggle hangout for our sessions, you'll want to use goggle chrome and have a goggle plus account. COMMUNITY--- Something I am SO proud of is our community, We have forums that we all chat on about whatever we feel like. Shows, games, the campaign, everything and anything. We are also very in depth and invested in this campaign, let me name off some of the things we have going. Pages of INTERESTING back story on these characters and lore that is such a delight to read, our DM is so kind enough to not only give us the best DM'ing I've seen in all the sessions I've played since I started, but he also has started making videos of the lore and land that we are playing in. If you love to hear a story, you want to be in this campaign. Our players have drawings of our characters done by excellent artist and we can show you where to get some too for free of same or better quality for free. One of our players has even made a RPG based in the campaign world, yes a freaking game. Now we don't require you to have a talent to bring to the table or anything like that. We are here as players yes but we are looking for friends. I might not know these people IRL but I can call people that I've played with in this campaign good friends and it's so exciting to play a session cause not only do you get to play in this awesome setting but you get to laugh and love the time you play with these amazing people, including the DM. So we are a community, not just players that meet every session. Now I'm pretty sure I covered everything, sorry for the long read but it's needed. SO! You've made it this far and you're asking how do I join? Well you post in this forum saying, Dude let me in this awesome campaign. Then bam, I send you a invite to the Roll20 page and the Guild Forum to talk and introduce yourself. Finally I'd like to say thanks for reading this long and I hope to get to know you a lot more, Welcome to The Guild!
This sounds like something worth looking into. The problem is trying to deal with the time, since midnight is just about the limit I'm willing to stay up at (due to having to wake up in the morning), but if it doesn't go beyond midnight too often, I definitely would be interested.
Sounds good to me :)
same issue as ancient, love to join but im EST, that only leaves me 1:30 till 12 =/
This sounds like a campaign that I would be interested in playing. I am new to the game but learn quickly. The session times are perfect for me as I am in the Pacific Standard Timezone.
We are still accepting and this is the best time to join, after months in the campaign we are going to have a perfect jumping on point and a recap of all past sessions at our next session which is the 5th at 9:00 pm central time. Even if you can't make that session though we would love to have you for future ones.
Seems legit. =) Where do I sign up?
This seems pretty awesome! I'm in.
Could I be a dragonborn fighter?
sounds perfect. I am in. I am new to Roll20 but I have been playing DnD for years. Would love to roll up a char and get a seat.
Why would I ever allow such a silly combination? Tsk tsk tsk... ... Ok, I've lurked in this topic long enough I suppose. Hello all I'm Mutt, the Game Master for RotG. We currently have no class/race combinations and the above tsking is done purely in humor and sarcasm. Just be ready to explain yourself in detail. Monster races, while accepted by the PC's are not likely to be nearly as welcomed by NPCs of the world you travel, bear that in mind. If you have any other questions, best to pester Grayson about it :) (Though really you can ask me, I don't bite... I have sharks for that.)

Would love to join if you are
This is his campaign.
Grayson here has taken on himself to be our recruiting fellow, but yes, I am the humble host of this campaign.

I would love to join your game, and your 1 out of 4 sessions rule actually works well for me. I work while in school, so I never really know what days I work late or if I have the day off. I am within the timezone and would love to play a dwarf/runepriest. As a note, I am pretty new to Table top games. Always wanted to play them, never knew enough people to play with.
Hey I played the one off game and it was super fun!
I'm definitely interested in joining. The time schedule seems like it will work well with mine and I should be able to get in on almost all of the times. The link to my character sheet is http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=641766 I included some character notes in there, if you need any more in depth information, just let me know. I'm assuming you wanted us to roll a level 1.
Howdy, I followed Codey R's link here, and I'm certainly interested in joining y'all's campaign. I have a level one character rolled up but I'd gladly go through character creation if you guys use a specific system. I think another person from my group posting may also be interested in joining up with you guys as well.
I'm very very interested in this. I'm on mountain time, so him being on CST is perfect for me! Everything else is so early. . .
I'm following the same link Will N. came from, the Codey R one, if you all have slots for both of us (As codey said he'd like us both to join :D) Id love to be a part in this, and if theres another slot i have a real life friend with the same schedule as me that wants in too
would love to join. been looking for multiday campaign. fairly experienced player after 6 to 7 years of playing. Im CST too so perfect for me
We are open for new players, great jumping on point as well!
I'm down for mostly the Tuesday and Wednesday groups. Even If im on EST I'll still stay up past midnight if needed. I enojy roleplaying
Im interested in playing, can you tell me what lvl we start at or do we start at lvl 1.
Things to know: Probationary Member games are (well, attempting to be) run on Thursday evenings, 2130 CST (-6 GMT) New players currently start off at level five (End of the month hopefully will see me with enough time for a "bump up" quest that ups the base level for all players, this happens every few months as I understand many players lack table time). Starting gold remains 100, I am considering bumping this up to -of level- gold... I haven't yet as most players are in the "Scrapping by the skin of their teeth" gear setup. There are no class/race restrictions. There are no... active... alignment restrictions, just don't be upset when the town murders you for attempting to plaster blasphemies on the temple walls, or worse as the deeds of course warrant. If you have any other questions, of course feel free to post here or message me directly (please be thorough) I am in the process of trying to recruit a sub-DM who enjoys making simple dungeon runs and such as the guild has more players than I can personally seat at a play table. If you are interested, again feel free to message me.
