I have plenty of experience with rules/sheet making but unfortunately have never actually been in a game for long, too many groups splitting up after one game has stopped me, but i'm always looking for groups that are a balance between fun and serious, i'm available most days around noon till midnight gmt+0

I am a huge fan.  Personally I think that it is easy to learn.  You would not be the first new person.  If it helps, Numenera and The Strange both use the Cypher System which recently can out as its own core rulebook.  They are made by Monte Cook Games.  I will send you the link and you can look at the entry.
