Pathfinder DM Seeks players

Hi all, I am looking to run Curse of the Crimson Throne here on Roll20. I will be conducting short interviews as part of the joining process, and am basically looking for mature players who take the game seriously. I am looking to host this game on Saturdays, starting at 9 AM EST, and ending around 1PM EST. I have run this game before with my RL group, and it is a lot of fun to play, as well as to DM. Character creation will be built on a 20 point buy, with no stat over 16 AFTER racial adjustments. I am also limiting this to Core Rule book races and Character Classes only please. I am looking for a good core group of six players who can attend regularly and who can concentrate on the game. No evil alignments, and there are bonus XP given to those who role play well. Any questions please feel free to ask. I Look forward to hearing from you soon.
Hi Dee Would you be willing to accept a beginner into your game? I've not played pathfinder beyond the beginner box adventure (which i DM'ed), but can source a core rulebook from a friend and read up mighty fast. Have no doubt that i am a mature player and will take the game seriously. It's damn hard to find a game where i live (in the UK) so i'll not squander the chance to play online! Thanks Adam
Dee, I would like to join. I have played pathfinder campain lasting 1 year before. I think I know the system very well. I can completly understand wanting mature gamers. I enjoy playing the game seriously with a laugh from time to time. I must admit I am new to roll20. I used fantasygrounds a bit, but always had hard tie finding campains to play in. I would also be new to the setting of the crimson thrones. I enjoy playing versatile strategic characters. Characters that have mutliple different ways of defeating a monster. Straight up Hack and slash is all good but after a while that can get boring. Saturday at 8 am CST should be no issue for me. Will it be Core rulebook exclusive or can feats/etc be drawn from the other books?
I'd be interested as well. As long as i don't play a defender(currently running 2 defenders). Would like to play a ranger or bard, or even a cleric if need be. I'm still semi new to pathfinder but i have the basics down and have a pretty firm grasp on roll20. Also curious if feats/equipment can be outside of corerule book(just got the ultimate equipment book /drool)
I'm interested in joining ye, but I need to make sure of something - Do you mind if I use only text? I don't have a mic nor video, so I must rely on that for everything. That being said, I'm an excellent roleplayer through text. As for the Core Rulebook-only rules, that makes me a bit sad, but I'll be fine with it. I'm Interested in either a physical class or a Cleric/Druid. I'll need to read the Players Guide for that campaign to see what would fit.
Thank you all for your interest in this game. you all sound fine so far, so I am looking for a couple more players. Gob, if you can keep up in the text box by listening, then thats great. I am keeping it core simply because that keeps it simple for me. that way I dont have to go looking for something in another book that is God knows where, and I myself can keep it a fast paced game. There is a possibility though that I may EVENTUALLY allow feats from other books, but it will be carefully considered first.
Understandable, and I look forward to being allowed the extra books.. I myself have a good deal of experience with the Adv. Player's Guide and Ultimate Combat/Magic Books and love 'em, but yeah, its definitely a large amount of material to look through. Even the Psionics Unleashed book looks great, though I haven't yet convinced my DM in another campaign (or even my players in the campaign I'll be DMing in the next few weeks) that its not overpowered.. which it isn't.. lol. Thinking of that, if you do ever need to find something fast thats not in the Core Rulebook, the Pathfinder SRD has everything, and it takes but a quick search to find. And yes, I am able to keep up through text. I'm a fast typer, so that won't be an issue. Anyways, I'll get to working on my character now. I'm assuming average starting gold for the class?
Hello hello! I'd be interested in playing, Pathfinder is my main system and have been playing it since it was in playtesting. Been looking for a good Pathfinder game here on roll20 for a while so if you have any questions for me regarding joining your campaign please ask away.
Well, I've decided I'm going Shoanti (Human) Barbarian. >:D
Thinking I'll do a fighter with the Archer archetype, maybe take a dip into sorcerer and go for Arcane Archer, assuming I'm allowed to join of course.
I'll take either rogue or cleric, depending on what other's choices are - rogue seems fun and i toyed with cleric when i got the beginner box.
I think I would like to play a druid. However a paladin will also work. I can build eiter extremely quick.

So since we have a figher barb cleric/rogue and pally/druid ill go ranger so we arent all melee. First time i get to paly aragorn build! thats assuming everyone is accepted

Ah, you're right, been a very long time since I've played core only, oh well, normal fighter still works. So since we have a figher barb cleric/rogue and pally/druid ill go ranger so we arent all melee. First time i get to paly aragorn build! The Fighter I'd be playing is ranged mainly, not melee.
Well if need be I can go cleric or wizard if the group needs it. :)
If there's still room, I'd like to join. I'd like to play a caster of some sort, divine or otherwise. I haven't used Roll20 extensively yet, but I've played 3.5 AD&D and Pathfinder for awhile and a decent roleplayer as well.
Right, i've settled on rogue - looking at cleric, the multiple options left me a bit worried id pick poor spells / a naff domain. So i'll go with the simple stab-em-in-the-back routine.
Alright, now for those who are using voice chat, you have a choice...either Skype or Ventrilo. I like Skype okay, but Ventrilo can be set up for push to talk, which cuts down on background noise and people munching on stuff. I can do either though, it seems the favorite medium of this site is Skype. Okay, now let me see if I got this right. Macleans is the rogue Eliras is a cleric Desert tiger is a wizard Bobby P is a ranged fighter Bryan P is a ranger Gob is a Barbarian I have also decided to allow feats and traits from Advanced Players Guide, which should make some of you happy. The only trait I am not allowing is wealthy parents. The reason being, if you were so well off, you would have no need to go adventuring. The desire maybe, but not the need. Also remember that there are traits in the crimson throne players guide. If you don't have it, get with me on Skype and I'll go over it with you. Actually, its probably a good idea for you all to get with me on skype, so we can do the official interviews and set stuff up. Like to start this coming Saturday. Skype name is dee.fitch just tell me you are interested in the Crimson Throne game and I'll add you.
Can't wait.
im interested and id prefer vent having to mute yourself constantly is frustrating. But my skype name is Falcor.RiF and for starting gold are we starting with max start gold, rolling for it? or predefined by you?
So if the APG is allowed does that mean I can take the Archer archetype for fighter? If not, that's still cool. But yes, that all sounds right, as for skype or vent I really don't care either way.
I've decided on switching over to a Dwarf Barbarian, but since we're allowing the APG now, I'll have to do a quick reworking on him.. I think Invulnerable Rager is in the APG.. *Grins* I need to remember what my skype info is.. been so long.
Also, I'm a fan of Vent over Skype, even though I won't be using voice.. I'm more familiar with Vent.
Well, i think I've done this correctly - let me know if ive made any errors or could improve the character. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2466892/CliftonMann.pdf
Got my character made, my first level is in sorcerer since I am planning on going for Arcane Archer and it works nicely with the story and the trait I chose. The trait's out of the Crimson Throne player's guide. Attached a txt file with all the crunch here.

Aye, I don't see any other errors besides that one as well. Well, unless you forgot to include the -2 to attack for dual wielding shortswords, but I figured you put that in the weapons category as a single weapon, and will apply the -2 if and when you dual wield (Since you did put the penalty under the feat). Also, Bobby, your Sorc looks good, except that normally you get Two Traits to begin with normally, unless the DM says otherwise. I'm trying to come up with where I want my barbarian to go in the long term.. I'm debating either straight up barbarian, focusing on damage/hp, or go with a more tactical barbarian and go for the Stalwart Defender Prestige Class.. and basically have a 1h/shield for Defensive Stance, and 2h for Rage. Would be nice to have a 'stance' for both offense and defense.. Hmm decisions decisions..
Added another trait and re-attached the file.
what i have so far, if this works ill work on the back story http://i.imgur.com/ESuqr.png
Got mine done as well. Backstory is still rough, but is as follows: Svarog is the only child of a pair of small time Dwarven traders who lived in Korvosa for much of Svarog's early life. While growing up there, he became friends with a couple of Shoanti natives, from whom he learned his skills. He's always been an avid drinker and abuser of substances, though not long ago he overdosed on the Shivers. Apparently, theres a level where even a Dwarf can't handle it anymore. Svarog's social skills are all but non-existant, with a notable exception - He's fantastic as an icebreaker at parties. With him being there, anyone can find something to talk about - usually him and his lack of bathing, room-quieting belching, and lack of table-manners. He's a good hearted Dwarf, however, and gets along well with others - except Elves. He distrusts full-blooded Elves, for some reason even he can't explain. He's also quite afraid of the water and terrified of small animals (Insects not included). He's never been able to explain this irrational fear of the small, cute, and cuddly, but its likely a suppressed memory of an encounter he had as a youth with a crotch-biting weasel.
Ah found a mess-up from when I had Raging Vitality as a feat.. i'll be fixing that wee typo.
okay, make sure you guys are getting all THREE traits, the two normal ones and one from the CT players guide.
Normally the CT Player's guide trait counts as one of the two normal traits, but as a 'campaign trait' choice (vs Faith, Combat, etc). However, if you still want us to have three traits, one being required to be the Campaign Trait from the CT guide, I certainly won't complain about an extra free trait.
Okay, here's the updated sheet with traits, notes, and a little backstory that ties in with the adventure. I'm happy with the character, but i bet my unspent gold that i forgot something.
67 gold left? Rich bastard.. I couldn't even afford me the greatsword I wanted q.q lol
Dee F., if you're still taking applications, I'd be delighted to throw my hat in the ring. I'm thinking Human or Half-Orc Sorceror. Edit: Oh boy, a Human or Half-Elf Monk could be a blast, too.
i couldn't even afford the armour i wanted, so i had to take hide :( For the extra feat i just picked up indomitable faith. So just +1 will save
I'm not sure what 3rd trait I'll be picking just yet..
See attached for Talathel elven wizard, framed and discharged from the academy. 2 Gold left when I was done >.>

See attached for Talathel elven wizard, framed and discharged from the academy. 2 Gold left when I was done >.> That's the same trait I picked :x Where there are like only 10 CT traits >.>. I could go for the tortured child one it has a good bonus, however it will make me RP a religous character- I don't feel like it. Maybe we were both framed and kicked out over the same incident?
Hey guys, sorry to say this but I won't be able to make it this saturday.. or any other saturday, so I'm going to have to drop out :( If anyone wants to use my character posted above, feel free to.
Time to roll war cleric

Well, one of us could take the friend was framed version of it, and we could be fwiends!
Time to roll war cleric I hope you can tank cause having a rogue tank usally leads to bad things.
ill switch to fighter if it's necessary - cant have a party without a defender.
Yeah I'm really sorry guys.. I wish I could stay with the group, but RL stuff happens :\ However, I would like to keep in touch and see how the game goes.
Time to roll war cleric I hope you can tank cause having a rogue tank usally leads to bad things. That's the idea. Favorite way to play cleric
Orok Donovan comes!
is the game on for tommorow?
