
Session 25 Log
Party leaves Pinnacle Station (after looking and failing to
find Mr. Beadle) and returns to Inner Reach. They go to Oodlur’s and procure
various hidden weapons. Rodworth calls the number we dialed on the pirate ship
to arrange for a hack on Darkworld Station while we’re there. They agree to
send an agent to meet with us in a couple of hours. Also, we pick our costumes:
Balta’sax as Phantom of the opera, Eusyl as Athena. Kyle goes as Automan.
Rodworth goes with a Tiger theme. Yaz goes as a Screecher.
Eusyl invites Scoonie to the party and Rodworth is going
with Artemis. Balta’sax hires an escort. Kyle will bring a member of the
Valkyrie’s, Styrigi BlueK'ie.
Kyle and Eusyl work on their costumes and hidden ‘toys’ for
the ball.
Rodworth, Yaz and Balta go to meet the agent at
Chrysathemum’s, mostly a hangout for Dralasites, some humans and Yaz’s but no
Vrusk. Chrys is wearing his typical lederhosen and cap. A street person approaches
the group. This is the agent. He asks “why should they be involved?” Rodworth
explains about the party and a desire to be able escape if necessary. It’s
clear he has a wire connection similar to the child-agent we encountered
previously. We explain we’re looking for a shutdown of weapons and security for
15 minutes tied to a signal. They ask a
100K, Balta counters with the offer of doing a job in exchange.
The agent makes a counter offer: leave our chronocoms open
for 10 days. Yaz strenuously disagrees. Balta’Sax offers to do it for his only.
When 10 days are over, we get the knockout code.
Yaz investigates the fallout from the Wind attack. There’s a
Yazirian asking about us, focused on Eusyl. Hura Yahee is the culprit. The
spies bring a pamphlet implicating Lisa S in an assassination of a person’s
family. Yaz checks the warrant office but it’s not the right office.
The next day we head to the ship. Rodworth gives some
hairpin weapons to the girls. Artemis goes as a Dryad. Scoonie as a Saytr, The courtesan,
a Vrusk, is dressed as a centaur; Blue’kei is dressed as nymph/fairy. She’s
very friendly with Kyle.
We fly up to Darkworld station, berthing in the same spot as
last time. We’re met by Reeve and two worker ‘bots. He says that the Malthar is
pleased we’re here but misses Joseph. We go past the docks and see a bunch of
4-5 size armed tramp freighters.They offer an opportunity to shop before the party. The
dates buy some weapons.
The floor of the party is transparent to space. The doors to
the room are wood, very rare. It’s guarded by two warbots and toga’d assistants
with scanners. Kyle’s needler passes muster. Yaz passes as well. Eusyl fast
talks his necklace into the party. They take blue’s weapons. Artemis’ costume
is pure poison. They make her change. Scooney hands over some guns. They rescan
him and reveal a knife in his belt.
