Adjusting/hiding objects on premade maps

Hey clever Roll20 experts... So I buy premade maps from the Marketplace, with loads and heaps and tons of good stuff already setup, populated, furnished, etc. Thing is, some of them.. I don't want. (IE, a treasure room with all kinds of fancy neat looking stuff that I don't wanna give LOL.. or want to give different stuff) I am, as I would guess most of you are, a stickler for accurate details like this. I mean, if we're going to all this trouble right? So, a body or a treasure chest or a pile of gold ... what ways do you guys hide that, as in, change the map so the players can't see that? I know I can do this (copy and past a section of floor, etc) outside of Roll20, but was wondering if there exists any handy tips for doing this right in Roll20 (which, would be easier methinks ;) Thanks in advance!

You can always do an image search in game for a floor tile that looks like the floor in the map, or close enough to it and overlay that on the map layer. You can use the object layer but there is more of a chance of moving it by accident if it's on that layer. I have also covered things up with oversized furniture and rocks, or trees. There are a ton of free floor tiles that show up in the image search. If can't find what you like with that search try google and copy the file name of what you find into the in game search and that should pull up the object or tile you want. 

Sounds like you want to sweep all that under the rug, eh?   How about Russ Hapke's  Scene Additions set 8: Rugs, Hides & Books ! Also, if it's a Marketplace Asset, you might contact the artist and see if they can give you an overlay. Russ's  Keep Secrets has such things. Most marketplace artists I know would love the feedback and would likely be able to provide what you need.
