LFG - New player looking to try this out

EDIT: Thanks for looking but I have found a group to start. I don't want to get too overwhelmed so I'll keep it simple at first, thanks! Hello all - I have played D&D only once before and have not played any other table top game. I am interested in fantasy or modern day settings. No futuristic. I even saw there are Sailor Moon and Kingdom Hearts games out there. I'd love to try those. :) I have role played through forums before, and my favourite genre of video games is RPG/MMORPG. I am currently waiting for the release/CBT2 for Black Desert (yay!) and have enjoyed other games such as Blade and Soul, WoW, Aion, Tera, Guild Wars 2, and many others. I'm not quite sure where to start. I would definitely need someone to help and teach me the ways. As far as D&D, I have a player hand book v.3.5 but I'm up to try any fantasy or modern day setting game. Ideally, once I get the hang of things, I'd like to be part of a weekly or bi monthly group. I have a working mic and video, can play weekends or evenings (5PM-10PM PST), and once I get the hang of this, my boyfriend would also like to try it out. Thanks in advance for reading. Danielle

If you have not tried the Find a Group tool under the Games tab, its a good place to start.  Use the advanced feature to filter by days and times if you like.
