I uploaded some cards, and when I deal them out to myself, then click on one to view it, the card is so large on screen that I cannot read the text of the card. What is the recommended resolution of a card face for optimum viewing on screen?
Well, they were downloaded PNG files that another person made of Torg cards. I did look at the resolution and they were huge. Like 900px wide by 1000+ tall. I'm going to rescale them and load some samples until I find a size that seems to work better.
I am also thinking of doing some cards for some things. If I do, I'll most likely use CorelDraw x6 and make PNG files.
When you're working in CorelDraw (or Photoshop, Gimp, etc) basically what you see when the image is zoomed in at 100% is what you're going to get when the card is displayed in full on Roll20. While there isn't a hard rule for scaling your cards, scale the image size while at 100% zoom to where it fits neatly on screen.
